Re: reentry visa Q

Hi All,

My wife needs to renew Her re entry visa soon, how's the queue these days?
When we tried to renew it last month, We arrived at around 7:30 and the queue outside was veeeeery long and therefore we gave up.
Anyone renewed the visa recently?

Re: Relocating after Naturalisation

Once ur wife reside in the UK for 5 years on Irish passport, she can also apply for UK passport, which might help. If She does that She will lose Her Irish citizenship. See below: Revoking citizenship The Minister for Justice and Equality can revoke your certificate of naturalisation if: You obtain...

Re: NON EU PASSPORT EXPIRY

You'll need your valid passport of country of Origin when applying for the Irish passport anyway, therefore I'd suggest that you renew it as soon as possible.

Re: Citizenship and Irish re entry visa

The issue with stamp 6 is that you need an appointment for that and I won't be able to get one as I need to travel shortly after getting the Naturalisation cert. I heard somewhere that we can get a re entry visa only by Showing the Naturalisation cert to INIS and wanted to see if someone did the sam...

Re: Travel:Non EU passport + Irish certificate of naturaliza

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!

When you say She didn't have a visa on Her passport, did you mean that She didn't have a an Irish visa or Schengen visa?

Thanks a lot as this will potentially save me a lot of money and time involved in rebooking my flights.

Re: Travel:Non EU passport + Irish certificate of naturaliza

In my view as long as you have a certificate of naturalisation, I don't see how the border control officer can refuse you. It is an obvious proof that you are an Irish citizen - and as an citizen you don't require any document to enter your own country as long as their is no doubt about your identi...

Re: Travel:Non EU passport + Irish certificate of naturaliza

you need either a valid re entry visa or your irish passport or an approved ID. if you try with the others you might find yourself in a trouble. that certificate is not for travelling or not an ID. I see your point, but it will be the certificate + a valid non Irish passport which can be seen as a ...

Re: Travel:Non EU passport + Irish certificate of naturaliza

Hi, I was able to travel with a valid visa, no GNIB card and an approval letter two days ago. I went to INIS and renewed my visa and then sent my GNIB card. I don't think you'll be able to travel with an expired visa (no Airline will allow you to board the plane back to Ireland in your country of d...

Re: Passport Application

No. We submitted original passport and birth cert., bank statement and utlity bill for each (4 in total), application with garda cert, 4 photos - 2 signed and certified (btw 2 were returned...we thought that interesting) and the Naturalization form. I went by what the passport express site said and...
