@Janet0001 and all, Pls folks can any one decode what this response from Citizenship section of INIS means: "Your application continues to be processed & you will be notified of the Minister's decision as expeditiously as possible" ?????? Thanks mate in advance for your valued respons...
I dont think the process is any slower..We just need to calm...I applied in Feb 14....its already more than 6 months..but thats the way it works..only few lucky ones got in 2-3 months...and a lot more in 4-5 months time frame...Minister has a lot more to do...not only to decide on our applications....

I dont think travelling w/o GNIB is risky. On the safer side keep the approal letter and a garda certified copy of your Gnib with you if you are travelling.
Well I am not an expert. But I dont think so it should effect. Depends on your home address, your revenue records and the effect of your job change on your revenue. I have seen few people applying from North as well for Irish citizenship..
This is the way it works...You never know.. I applied in Feb 14... 1st acknowledgement 28th Feb ... 1st week of April they requested copy of my spouse passport..Which I already sent them..2nd stage letter 2nd week of April..then in July they asked for copy of my renewed GNIB...
No need to worry. This happened to me and a friend of mine as well. we got the letters same day and sent copy of the GNIB in next couple of days. He got approval letter within a week and I am still waiting. This happened in July.

A friend got his application back stating that you do not meet the requirements as you were not in Ireland for a continuous period of one year from the date of application.
I called that number on Tue. They 1st said final stage. On inquiring further its gone out for minister decision and we will let you know ASA we know about the decision.
