Re: Switching from RP to Tier 2

There is an option to retain rights of residence (RoR) if Regulaton 10(3) applies. See HO guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/488451/Retained_Rights_v2.0_ext_clean.pdf - see page 10+ A direct descendant will meet the conditions of regulation 10(3) whe...

Re: Switching from RP to Tier 2

Thank you for your responses everyone.

I think I'm going to look into the retained right of residency route. My sponsor is going to work for a multinational corporation in Dubai, so setting up a business for me to manage might be a bit tricky.

Re: EEA2 / FM-EFM Discussion thread

Hi everyone I applied for an RP at the end of October so I'm in the waiting period of 6 months now. However, my sponsor changed employment at the beginning of the year. Re: PR query/situation advise

Iv been reading through all the regulations and case law that I could find on the gov.uk website, but there doesn't appear to be anything in black and white as to how to resolve my potential issue. Nothing states that if dependent child over 21 years becomes self sufficient during the period of 5 ye...

Re: PR query/situation advise

Once you start working, time as a dependant family member will be amalgamated or aggregated with time spent as a qualified person , when you start working. Both these 2 period can be added towards PR. You have not applied for temporary Residence permit, what you applied for is a registration certif...
