Thank you very much for the link
Note that only the skilled worker main applicant do not need to prove their level of English. That is the only exception

Re: ILR - Travlled outside UK

An applicant should NOT travel outside the UK after submitting their application online or else the application will be considered automatically withdrawn (as per paragraph 34K of the UK immigration rules) Recent case: https://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=347791 Online applications, UKV...

Re: ILR requirement

1. Your earliest eligibility date is within 28 days of completing your 5 years, starting from 23rd December 2019. So I'd say you will become eligible by late November. 2. Yes 3. No. Main applicants do not need to meet an English language requirement under your route 4. There have been some changes t...

Hi Zimba. Assuming that the main applicant had no other absences between 30/10/2019 and June 2020, am I right to say that the main applicant was actually eligible to apply 28 days before the 3rd or 4th of May 2024?
Yes as the absences would be less than 180 days in the beginning of the period

I agree that unless you do not gain any form of lawful residence, there is no path to ILR. If you are married to a British citizen, an FLR(FP) application should succeed.

Re: VISA extension for ILR dependants

This is a known problem. The immigration health surcharge online system is not smart enough to calculate this correctly for people who have ILR. As I said, ILR has no expiry date so you should enter a date that is 3 years in the future to get a correct IHS calculation . Otherwise, the system will c...

Re: Financial Requirement ILR - Savings

The new rules do not apply in her case. Also, the extension and ILR do NOT have the same thresholds for cash savings. So the requirement is that the cash saving must be above (min salary threshold + £16000) for ILR so £18600 + £16000 = £34,600 minimum Read the official guide: https://assets.publishi...

Re: Guide to 10 years route

You do not need any of those and you do not need to tell UKVI about your immigration history, they know all that. You apply using SET(LR) which will be a variation of the previous SET(M) application. Just respond by saying you have done that and it all works out

Good morning. I am applying for indefinite leave to remain skilled worker route as a Dr. How long does it takes to get our passport back after ILR decision? I am going to apply for 5 days priority service as I need to travel home in November for some commitments. Many thanks for your advice. KR Sam...

Thank you for your prompt response. I appreciate. Can I go ahead now to apply or I have to wait till 2027 when my current leave expires before I can apply? I need clarity on this please. Thank you
Your visa expiry is irrelevant. Apply within 28 days of completing your 10 years

A child can register directly as British without ILR. If you do not want that, the child can settle with parents

Re: VISA extension for ILR dependants

Thanks, Zimba. Does the online form prevent me from extending less than 3 years? Does it automatically notice I have now been granted ILR? Initially, I wanted to extend my wife and son's GTV dependant visas for just a year or two, so they complete their mandatory 5 year under GTV dependency before ...

The rules do not have such limits. What you 'perceive' as a concern is not always a real one

UKVI can question any decision you make in your business. So until ILR is grated, UKVI can question it

You can vary your application to SET(LR) however we need to first ensure that you have 10 years of lawful and continuous residence so that you qualify. Can you provide clear details of your immigration history ?

Re: ILR main and dependent application Tier 1E

You are subject to the genuine entrepreneur test as usual. The UKVI will have to be satisfied that you are a genuine entrepreneur, so it is up to them. This may or may not affect your ILR depending on your circumstances or facts of the matter. The legalities around winding down a business are not re...
