Re: FLR (FP) to FLR (M)

Hi graceofgod1

Thank you for sharing your experience. Can I please ask if you paid NHS surcharge again if you switched from FLR FP to to FLR M.

I still have a year left on my current leave, but I would I need to pay the surcharge again if I making a fresh application?

FLR (FP) to FLR (M)

Hi A bit of background , I originally came on a student visa, got married, marriage got anulled. I became an over stayer, got into a relationship, stayed in detention twice, almost got sent back to my home country. Got released pending a JR. Applied for FLR(FP) myself, kicked my solicitor off my cas...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

I know how you feel, I am the same, good thing about this detention center is that it has better internet facilities, at least i can come online and read related material to my case and of course talk here with people who are in a similar situation. Being obsessive is a good thing, it drives you tow...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

Well yeah it's the whole idea behind this, since the current government is failing miserably, they have put pressure on HO to get immigration down as much as they can, the whole system is government supported hence why they would just do about anything. I can wait for this government's term to be ov...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

Well I am originally from Manchester and at the moment they are keeping me down in London. By train it would take my wife 5 and half hours to come here and then 5 and half hours to go back which isn't really worth it as she would only be able to spend a couple of hours here before she has to go back...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

Well if you have already been to doctor, that's great, just keep following it up till they refer you to a specialist. Take it up with MP because you are a British citizen and it carries more weight if it comes from you. Well if HO has already replied to you saying they are sticking with their decisi...

Re: Urgent, Help is needed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Well they addressed your wife in the email "Dear Mrs xxxxxxxxxxx" and again "We would kindly ask you to supply your June/1024 Payslip and your TB test results please." Common sense dictates that they want her TB test result and payslips. Every person who comes to UK has to provid...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

Hi Parveen Well our situation couldn't be more same, I was actually detained in May for the first time, released after a month after I submitted a new application but my solicitor thinks HO is being extra efficient in my case, they refused the case withtin a week and detained me again in a month. Be...

Re: DETAINED AND APPLYING FOR JUDICIAL REVIEW

Hi Parveen I am in a similiar sort of situation, been here 6 years, been with the partner 2 and a half years. The fact that you have been with your partner longer and he's been in the country longer makes your case a lot stronger. I am in a detention centre myself and I can relate to what you or you...

Re: FLR (FP) Refused and Detained

Well I am going with Judicial Review, I was wondering if any of you know or think there are any grounds for a JR. Also if my partner contacts the MP, would it help?

Re: FLR (FP) Refused and Detained

No I do not have any children as yet. She cannot return with me because the first time round I got married I got death threats from the girl's family with whom I was supposed to get married back home. I would be in danger if I return back home and so will she probably more than me as we are not from...

FLR (FP) Refused and Detained

Hi I have a complicated case and I doubt anyone's case would match mine but if anyone can give advice, I would really appreciate. A bit of history 08-2008 : Came to UK on a student visa. 09-2009 : Detained at Manchester Airport because they weren't satisfied I was a geniune student, got released sam...
