Re: ILR and leaving sponsor

Hello again, Sorry to bother again with my questions but I needed one clarification regarding the date of eligibility to ILR. Initially i thought it was from the date when I was granted RCOS, then I thought it was from the date of entry to UK. Now after reading the UK Guidance quotes below I am just...

Re: Cancelling my tier 2 and changing to Partner

Sadly it did seem that i got confused about dates, and i will only be eligible for ILR early 2020 rather than next year. I have had about 4 employers contacting me but I only need to mention the words "tier 2 visa" for all of them to say, "we used to do it in the past but HR will not ...

Re: Cancelling my tier 2 and changing to Partner

Unfortunately no, the nature of my job is very cyclic and it is in a dip now (for the next 12-18 months) and I am unhappy at my current role. I was hoping I would be able to remain if my partner found a sponsor (she has an offer) but it is not worth it if we start the 5 years ILR count from Zero. So...

Re: Cancelling my tier 2 and changing to Partner

Hi Moderator, Sorry to ask again. If I left my current tier 2 role and was intending to leave the country. Would I be able to use my 60 days curtailment period to do all the paperwork I need to depart and travel around the UK a bit? Also, If i left my job and the visa was cancelled by my employer an...

Re: ILR and leaving sponsor

Thank you very much for your reply. One quick question, so If i took the Premium option I should get my reply on the same day (if all documents are OK?). Also any idea what the cost for premium is (I saw £610 per person online?).

Thanks

ILR and leaving sponsor

Hi, I am currently on tier 2 (general) visa and looking to move to apply for ILR early next year. I was just reading the requirements and one of them was that my tier 2 sponsor should state in the application that I will still be needed in my role. My questions are below: - How long does it take nor...

Cancelling my tier 2 and changing to Partner

Hi, I am currently on a Tier 2 visa. My partner just got offered a chance of a new position where the employer is offering sponsorship (she is currently on a partner visa). What a disaster, People with 30 points and less are now left with no hope.
May be after 3-4 months 30 point application may go through
Unfortunately, after 3-4 months the number of COSs available will also reduce. I think it is 2200 for April, then 2000 between May and September.

Leaving UK then coming back ILR

Hi, I am currently on tier 2 visa and have been here for over 3 years now. I am now intending to leave the UK due to the cyclic nature of my work (bottom of the cycle at the ,moment). My question is, would I be allowed to come into the UK again on another tier 2 visa (after more than the 24 months -...

Re: Teir 2 general change of employer partner visa

Hi, thanks alot for the advice. I am on good terms with my current employer as they fully understand what happened in regards to my role. Teir 2 general change of employer partner visa

Hi, I am currently on a tier 2 general (Employer sponsored visa). My wife is on a partner visa and we both have BRPs that were issued last year. I am now considering a change of employment and the company is carrying out a RMT at the moment. However I have the following questions that I need clarifi...

Shortage List

While my degree is NOT on the tier 2 occupation shortage list, the bulk of my experience is in another discipline that is on the shortage list. The compani...

Re: Changes to Tier 2 in 2016

Hi, Thanks alot for the reply. I am asking on behalf of a friend who is hoping to get a sponsorship here to the UK (to apply for tier 2 for the first time). Her pay level is lower than 35k, and she is not sure whether the 35k rule apply to her or not. Does this limit only apply to the people transfe...

I also seem to have read something about only being able to extend for 1 year beyond the original 5 years (total of 6). Is that correct? I seem to recall that people used to have few more years before that

Changes to Tier 2 in 2016

Hi, I am a new Zealander here in the UK on tier 2 restricted visa. The past few days there have been alot of talk in Australian and NZ websites about major changes to the teir 2 visas. None of the articles seem to state what the changes are? The one point i read was about raising the pay limit to £3...

Born in UK in November 1983

Hi, I friend of mine is having an immigration dilemma. She was born in the UK while her parents were residents in there in November 1983 (few months after rule change). Since then her parents left to overseas and now she is a New Zealand citizen. She moved to the UK a year ago on a YMS visa which is...
