Re: The Citizenship Ceremony

Unfortunately, the ceremony I attended ( at 2ish) was spoilt by people who did not read or care about the instructions on the letter indicating you could bring only one adult and decided to take toddlers or babies with them. I could barely hear the speech due to crying babies, I hope they do somethi...

Re: Immigration at Dublin airport

Has anyone recently experienced ordeal by immigration officials? I travel to London a lot and overtime I get questions in very judgemental way, more likely interrogation way. Immigration officer crossed all limit today and made me to wait for 2 hours because I did not know my wife number by heart.T...

Re: Where to find vacancies in Ireland for Non-EEA nationals

It will be difficult to get a work visa like that, like the previous poster said, you are competing against all the IT professional in Europe that can work here, so unless you have a very specific skill that is hard to find, this will be very difficult.

Re: How Quickly After decision is residency card issued?

I had to book time off work to go with my wife and then she had to have fingerprint/photographs done after which we were told we had to wait 3 week so the card can be p...

Re: EU1 Application - copy of EU passport

The form explicitly says "Original Passport or National Identity Card of EU citizen" so sending a copy would most likely end up in them not processing your application until you send the original or in a refusal.

In the application i said she stop working last month as the company could give enough hours because January to March is always quite. I am optimistic that she will get a job soon. My concern is if they will give me the Temp stamp 4 for 6 month then before that runs out she will deferentially get a...

I am in a similar situation. My wife has worked for only like 2.5 years of my 5 years here as we had a child and her salary was not good enough to pay for childcare. I have worked during the 5 years and we have never claimed any social welfare. She is now looking for a job, while I applied two weeks...

I haven't met many latinos myself after 5 years living here. Feel free to send me a PM if you have any specific question.

Thanks Jeupsy. It sounds like we are in trouble then, I doubt she can find employment in such a short period (less than 2 months). My son is EU citizen but I don't see how that could help :| . I might need to see a solicitor. Thanks.
