Re: Issue with Citizenship

Thanks everyone for your response. Although taking BC is mouth watering, I think I will leave it for now! I will move to India and do adoption. Will try to apply for ILE later providing adoption as reason, If successful will return back to UK. Such is the life! Look, as you mentioned, you need to b...

Re: Issue with Citizenship

Just come to UK once in a while (say every 6 months) and you should be fine.. So dont worry about ILR I see the only problem is that you will accumulate a lot of abcenses so this may delay your next BC application.. But who cares.. If you plan to live in the UK, ILR and BC are the same from the prac...

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Five days from fee to approval - wow! With all these approvals, I keep coming home hoping to see this famous brown envelope in the mailbox, but being EU I worry I will be waiting for a long time! Julian11, can you please advise why being EU may slow down the processing time? Will appreciate your ex...

Re: Why BC if you are from EEA?

Surely it was a joke, don't take it litteraly, paperthin.. I totally agree that the wish for naturalisation must be respected and my original question was not intended to offend. I fully understand that people that happened to be in dire situation may want to get a BC. However if you are from EU (ev...

Re: Why BC if you are from EEA?

Thank you all for your replies! It seems to me that there is only one way of reasoning expressed by peperthin: " If you believe that becoming BC would benefit you, enrich you in any way, or make you better person; if you also wish to feel more part of the British society, you consider yourself ...

Why BC if you are from EEA?

What am I missing? I understand people from non-EU trying to get British citizenship.. But what if you are Italian or Spanish or whatever.. You already have a right to live and work in the UK indefinitely. You can travel the world visa free already... So why would you want a BC? Just to be able to v...

Re: urgent help please

Why don't you go for a private ceremony? You will get more flexibility via this route..

Also you are saying that they don't have anything for the next three months.. Everything is booked already?? Or they just take reservations for the next two weeks only?

Re: The 14 year rule

I see.. So you showed HO your birth certificate with your true place of birth that was different from what HO have on you? Why did you do that? Just didn't think they will cross check?

Best of luck to you!! Don't despair!

Re: The 14 year rule

Tonyb2,

just wondering what's your status now? How did things work out?

Also how did HO manage to figure out that you stated false information? Random check?

Re: Partner's present address - AN form q1.35

Gurus, please help me!!

I am afraid that by doing something wrong and providing incorrect information I would inadvertently "deceive" HO and may get banned for that.

Many thanks!!!

Partner's present address - AN form q1.35

Dear experts, I would like to ask for your advice regarding which address I should put in the Form AN q1.35 "Partner's present address". A quick description of my situation: I am on ILR, married to a British citizen (my wife) and applying for my BC shortly. Due to some work related reasons...
