Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Can my husband go there on his own with our and his forms as it is too much of a hassle to make the trip there with our 3 yr old from Norfolk. Ours is about submitting the forms to get our O...

Re: OCI cards stolen- process for re-issue

Thank you. No there is nowhere to add in my new passport details. When I select list/damaged OCI services - fill a new app- it asks for my original file number and old passport details etc. then the system brings up a form where it asks to fill basic details of who did you apply the first OCIs with,...

Re: OCI cards stolen- process for re-issue

Thank you for the reply. I am filling in the form for the re-issue. However, as the form picks up information from my original information it keeps the old British passport number- which is no longer valid. We had to cancel those and get new British passports issued due to the burglary. I have creat...

In this scenario can we apply for re-issue of OCIs or need to apply as of first time application? Will it be a problem as we don’t have th...

Re: Advice on AN form-Section 3 and 1.50

Thank you CR001. Yes it is section 2. However on the form under supporting documents guidacne- they list the lawful residence under section 3 (pg 30).

Overall looking at the AN form it seems that it does not require the 100s of supporting documents that were required for the ILR.

Best Wishes

Re: Reference from HR or a colleague acceptable?

Hello, My old colleague and I (both work in different places/cities now) are applying for Naturalisation around the same time. She asked me to be a 2nd referee for her. I want to ascertain that my reference to her should not reflect in any negative way on my application or her. My application will g...

Hello, Thank you. Yes. I submitted 4-6 items from each year spaced out at 4 months interval such that there are more addressed to both and a couple addressed to each of us. Somewhere on the forum there is a good description of 6 (both) +4 (each separately) + 4 (each) or so. I agree 17 might be too m...

Re: ILR Approval letter- what does it say?

Wonderful! Thank you Kashif.
I spoke to the immigration helpline and they said the same thing (not the shopping :-) ) that now a days what I got is a standard 'approval' letter and it says BRP will be posted in a few days time.

Thank you

Hello, In our case yesterday the case worker said the ILR is approved and we signed papers that said approved and had our name etc. The case worker gave a copy to us and when we checked it after leaving the PEO it only has the standard information and says that the BRP will be sent separately.
