hi, yes the visa officer mentioned that in his refusal letter and we appealed but the refusal was upheld, its a clear breach of the directive. i have reported to solvit and they have taken the matter up. so hopefully, they will be able to deal with the situation and the embassy will reverse their de...

Hi, My husbands visa was refused on the same ground even tho its a clear breach of the directives. We have appealed and still waiting for a decision, its been four weeks now. I intend to go to Ireland next month. The directive is clear I don't have to be in Ireland before he applies. I just have to be there before him to pick him up. So the embassy staffs need to respect the law

We finally got it sorted, it took calling the embassy for the ignorant vfs staffs to accept the join eea application. Fingers crossed the embassy won't take forever to get bk to us. Will update you when he gets it. When r u n ur daughter travelling to Ireland.

For the people that have successfully moved could you please advise on how easy it is to get a job in Dublin. Accommodation is not an issue because we will be staying with family. But am really worried about getting a job because that's the only way to show that am exercising my rights.

Thanks a bunch. This is really helpful. Its such a relief to hear this cos I know so many countries seriously disregards certain rules when dealing with Nigerians. Will have him do the application next month and would update you on the status.
