And what phone number should I call?

Payment withdrawal

Sent application for Residence card together with my wife's (EU citizen) application for Registration Certificate. Included details of debit card for payment, few days later only 65 pounds were withdrawn. Why not 130? Should I contact them and ask if everything is fine?

Prepaid envelope

Should prepaid envelope be included in application now?
There is no requirement on gov.uk anymore. Maybe because application now costs 65 pounds, they include price of sending documents back in it?

Re: EEA2 Apply tomorrow, need last advice

Because you mentioned that her payslips will show it. If they don't show it, then you should stop worrying and just send everything in. It seems to be taking on average 4-6 months to process forms currently so by the time they reach your wife's application, she would be most assuredly a genuine and...

Re: EEA2 Apply tomorrow, need last advice

The Home Office are unreasonable, so it might be the case that a caseworker will refuse because your wife has not been long in the job and has had a couple of weeks where she fell short. However, this would be contrary to EU law which looks at the overall picture rather than at just a snapshot, suc...

Re: EEA2 Apply tomorrow, need last advice

I've heard that if even one payslip shows less than 16 hours per week than application will be rejected. If that's the case then that is an unlawful refusal and dispoportionate to what is required under Community law. That said, some caseworkers are not the brightest of the the bunch. You would hav...

Re: EEA2 Apply tomorrow, need last advice

You are not even legally required to use the form for an EEA application, so feel free to ignore questions on the form or write over them if you consider them legally irrelevant. You could write that your wife averages x amount of hours per week next to the question concerned. If the position is te...

Re: EEA2 application. Need advice

Should I add any proof that after 3 month being in UK my wife was exercising her treaty rights as job seeker? It was 1 month period when my wife was not working, should we proof that she was actively looking for a job or it doesn't matter know?

Re: EEA2 application. Need advice

Thank you, Chaoclive! Yes, we have all documents prepared, just waiting for pay slips. My wife has contract, but it is for zero hours, so I'll wait till she has pay slips for few weeks to show that she has stable working hours every week. Good. That is fine. If her employer is willing to write a le...

Re: Exercising treaty rights after 3 month

My wife just has received job offer. But the strange thing is that employer said that he can't give her pay slips, only check from company, or paper approval of money transfer from company to her account. He gave her contract to sign, but strange thing is about pay slips. What can you say about this...

Re: Exercising treaty rights after 3 month

Couple days ago my wife visited Jobcentre Plus and they didn't register her. Said that she should be working for 2 years. Is it ok? And she wanted to register not because of benefits but to show that she is exercising treaty right as jobseeker, that she is actively looking for a job. Now all the pro...

Re: Exercising treaty rights after 3 month

I don't she why your status stops her from making a claim to benefit, you have been here more than three months anyway I believe. Either she makes a single or joint claim, they can processs joint claims manually if you have no NINO, but often they appear to be 'lazy' and avoid the manual claim opti...

Re: Exercising treaty rights after 3 month

In those circumstances, i will say she is indeed exercising treaty rights. She is actively seeking work, which is the essential ingredient for engaging that provision. Thank you for the reply! Even without registration with Jobcentre Plus it will be fine? My wife wanted to register but it is not po...

Re: EEA2, please help

Better to wait until your EU national partner finds a job otherwise your EU national partner can become self sufficient on the basis of your funds/income. For this purpose you have to show that EU partner has access to those funds as well as have to buy CSI policy. After initial 3 months, In order ...
