not sure if it helps but if you paid for application online and in worst case scenario ( I really hope not) your application is refused they must have refunded £80 ceremony fee to card you paid application with!! if not hopefully decision is in your favour!!!

Hi Guys,

Just a quick question. I noticed in forum timeline some people got approval by email and other person received the text message from HMPO on passport application. is it common practice to receive email about decision or still wait for the brown envelope?

If you are on tier 2 (general) for 5 year and if your salary is more than 35k in order to apply for ILR does the job have to be in shortage occupation/Phd or as far as you earn more than 35k it doesnt matter?
