Just bumping this up so any who get an approval can spot it. Fingers crossed!

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Bit slower now then - up to the middle of the month it seemed to be about two weeks.

Am hoping that despite the odd pattern here on the forum re EU citizens, that EU applications will nonetheless start being processed quickly...

Re: Are there quieter months for applications?

It's hard to judge based on a forum when there's 200k applications a year, but... One would assume that people apply around the time that they qualify, and for the likes of jobs, marriages, etc., I doubt there is a particular pattern as people move for those reasons at any point really. There is one...

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Still no ack, nearly two weeks after fee was taken - so I think I will stick to what the HO person said that some people just don't get one anymore, and assume that they are now working away at my app!

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

FYI. On the phone today they said that NCS people often never get acknowledgement letters since we know that the HO has received it given that we sent it via the NCS. I don't know how true it is because when I applied using NCS several months back I got ack letter and recently my wife applied in Oc...

Phone number / email?

I know it's around here but I can't seem to find it and it's hard to search for it when you don't know the number! What's the most up to date phone number and email to the HO if we wish to call to get updates etc?

Thanks!

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I think the thing that confuses me with mine is that acknowledgement tends to come around the same time as the debit of fees, which was over a week and a half ago now...still no sign of the ack! What's the correct phone number (and options) if I want to call and ask someone about it tomorrow?

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

It certainly hasn't been six weeks for most people in this thread anyway, but some things are taking a while. Ack letter tends to go around the same time as the fees, but still no sign of my letter!

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I find it strange I've gotten nothing yet acknowledgement-wise (applied same day as you). I gave my email address so would have thought I'd have gotten it pretty quickly that way. Nothing in the post yet either! You applied 5 days after me, and I didn't get the letter until 6th November. I didn't g...

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Hopefully not. September is already seeing several approvals, so hopefully October will be quick too!

Doesn't seem like this forum has many October applicants compared to previous months, though.

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Royal Mail tracking says it arrived without a problem. If you notice the dates in this thread though, it's taking around two weeks (compared to one before) for the payment to be taken and acknowledgement letter to be sent out. Just hope it doesn't mean that the whole process after that is slower jus...

No, nothing yet. Both seem to be coming a lot more slowly for applicants in October than they did for applicants in August & September, sadly!

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

In previous months, it seemed like it was about a week or so before they took out the fees and sent the acknowledgement letter. This month, it appears to be taking a bit longer. Hope it doesn't mean that overall Oct applications will be slower!

Re: If MA certificate lost, Transcript enough?

For proving you studied, the transcript is enough, but for proving the English requirement, I was told by NCS it had to be the degree certificate. There was a post a while back where a guy had his app delayed because he sent in the transcript and they then requested the certificate...so I'd be safe ...

Re: October 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

Yes, you are right. But I hope as soon as they take the fee start working on the case too. Not like their passport staff. They took the fee after 2 days but the passport was ready 11 weeks later... Just a question. Why do you use nsc for £60 when you can do it yourself? Mostly to be able to keep al...

Re: WRS vs. other ways to exercise Treaty Rights

I think you'd be able to go for student followed (2008-09) by self sufficient (09-11) followed by worker (11-now), however you'd need proof of health insurance (non-UK EHIC works, if you have one that was still valid during that time period) to cover study and self sufficiency periods (08-11). Just ...

Multiple citizenships

Due to parents being from all over and previous naturalisations, I currently have four citizenships and am applying for British, which would be my fifth. I only listed the relevant one that allows for my UK residence on the form, but the NCS asked me to list all of them there. Will this cause any is...

Re: Can someone else submit my forms via Check & Send?

I'm not sure it would matter overly much, but maybe the safe bet in that case would be to exit Schengen one final time on your American passport, and then re-enter it on your British one.
