Regarding BRP and CSI

Hi, I moved to the UK in 2009 and applied for my EEA2 RC. After 5 years with that RC I applied and got my PR via EEA4. As it’s been more than a year since I got my PR, I’m now looking into applying for naturalisation. At this moment I have 2 questions: I wasn’t issued a BRP when I got my PR (all I h...

Re: PR / marriage linked?

No they didn't retain my PR, and I was let in.
But only after an unusual amount of insinuating questions. Maybe he was just having a bad day....

Re: Right-to-work issue

What about "You can’t transfer your visa to your new passport. Instead, you’ll need to apply for a biometric residence permit (BRP). A BRP is a separate document and will replace the visa you had in your old passport." Seems like getting a new residence card would require much more time an...

Re: Right-to-work issue

Thanks Vinny. I currently have a Permanent Residence Card acquired via EE2 then EE4. It has a "document renewal date" that is 10 years from the date of issue. To get a Biometric Residence Permit, which of these forms would I have to use ? Transfer Of Condition (for those who have ‘leave to...

Right-to-work issue

Hi all, Soon after getting my PR I had to renew my passport. So my valid PR is in an old passport, which I always carry along with my valid one. That was never an issue until now. I’m currently moving from being an employee of a company to become a freelancer for said company. They’re putting me und...

PR / marriage linked?

I moved to the UK with my then wife in 2009 and applied for my EEA2 RC. After 5 years with that RC I applied and got my PR via EEA4. Unfortunately a year and a half after that me and my wife decided to get a divorce after a 12 year relationship. My question is: What are the chances of my Permanent R...

About to lose my job due to Residence Card expiry

So, the company I work - a big broadcasting one... - for is about to terminate my contract due to the expiration of my Residence Card. I'm applying for the PR now, but still don't have my CoA back. I can prove that my wife has been exercising Treaty Rights, sent HR copies of the documents, pointed t...

EEA4 - Spouse Treaty Rights docs

I'm organising all the EEA4 documents as I want to send the form asap. At the moment I'm collecting all the documents that prove my wife has been exercising treaty rights for the past 5 years: Here are all the documents I have so far: --- She was working from Dec 2009 to Jan 2012----- Payslips from ...

Re: RC about to expire. EEA4 questions...

Explained my situation to HR on an email finishing with: "...from what I understand, as my wife (EEA National) is still exercising her treaty rights (and been for 5+ years), I still have the right to work & live in the UK*. So meanwhile, if you need something, I can provide you proof that s...

Re: RC about to expire. EEA4 questions...

Thanks guys! I'll carefully write an email this weekend trying to explain this and pointing to all the right links, UKBA helpline and anything helpful I can find. Maybe if I make things really easy for them, they'll care enough to investigate further and hopefully I'll hear positive news soon. We'll...

Re: RC about to expire. EEA4 questions...

Thanks for taking you time to reply, sheraz7. I'll see if checking my rtw straight from the UKBA helpline is good enough for my employer or if they'll really need the CoA before the expiration of the RC. Fingers crossed... Sorry to ask, but what do you mean by "if you are a visa national to UK&...

RC about to expire. EEA4 questions...

Hi guys, I’ve been reading this forum over the past week and would like some suggestions on a situation I’m in if possible. First, here’s some info: I’ve been living in London with my wife (Italian) since Feb. 2009. 9 My Residence Card of a Family Member of an EEA National expires on Dec. 3. I inten...
