Naturalisation is not as simple as applying for a visa.

Its up to 10 year work history not 5.
That's just one element of good character test.

I meant the transitional arrangement concession
for students doesn't apply to selfsufficient.

And an EHIC would only cover EEA holder not any dependent.

And you will find other overstayers celebrating their legitimisation by return to UK and whatever passes for normality for them;
sometimes after years of living beyond the pale in what is now an increasingly criminalised kind of shadowland.

An English man's home is his castle.
But even under EU route, co-habitation is not necessary for direct dependents.

So domestic arrangements don't have to be driven and constrained by EU considerations.

Rather than living in denial, the best way to regularise an overstayer is to leave and come back as a spouse/partner.

Unless there had been a frivolous or calculated attempt to vex immigration regulations.
And then the prognosis is not good at all.

RC confirms the temporary status you have now. If sponsor leaves UK then you will have no right to reside in UK. Sponsor returning once a week is not enough. However, if you do acquire PR that's settled status. The clue is in the name: permanent. Unless you leave UK for 2 years. Apply once you have ...
