Success at Croydon PEO - ILR Set (O) from HSMP JR

Hi guys Just wanted to share the experience of my ILR application process at Croydon PEO. Originally i was planning on sending in a postal application but due to the mostly negative comments on the forum and many people waiting for around 6 months. I did not want to take the chance and would rather ...

Gosh.... so the "Indefinite" in ILR isn't really indefinite?

Say if a person with ILR returns to the UK for a few days every 2 years, will that maintain their ILR status?

Congrats!

Lucky your case worker asked for only the minimum docs. I hope mine will be the same in two days.

Congrats!

That's approx 6 weeks turnaround.

I'm still quite iffy and dont' want to wait up to 6mths so settled on same day service.

Good luck to all the other postal applicants, please share your results.

Thanks.

Thanks f2k for the correction.

Yes, it should be "approval" letter date prior to 3 April 06 and not the "stamp" date in relations to the 4 years.

However, but application of the ILR will be based on the 4th or 5th anniversary of the "stamp" date.

Cheers.

1) i would have thought it would be the anniversary of the date of your visa stamp. Your other problem is ascertaining time on hmsp as i'm not sure whether you can apply for ILR after 4 years, since your date of stamp was after 3 April 06. It may be 5 years?

Dear Coolwater Please could you confirm that your caseworker asked for your point 7 relating to letter from employer. As i understand it, applicants for ILR under HSMP JR have not been asked to provide this as per the application set (o) form. I have an apptmt on on Friday 26 March. And will not be ...

i hate it when banks do that. One time i had a an important transaction to make but they declined it without my verification. You'd think the prodecure was for them to atleast make a courtesy call to you advising of such transactions should they be suspicious. Oh how unfortunate. I hope you hear bac...

I really don't get why you have to travel all the way to liverpool from london?

i called up yesterday (Friday) and managed to secure an appointment in croydon for next friday. The guy on the phone told me there were 1pm, 2pm and 3pm slots. So i chose 3pm.

Was it just my luck it was so simple?

That's what i thought as well (need to have ilr before applying to become BC). But just wasn't clear when the ukba website states that you have to have lived for 5 years in the uk, however, it does not specify under what sort of visa/category.

Applying for citizenship/naturalisation - options

Hi guys 1) Firstly, is citizenship and naturalisation the same thing? 2) When can i apply for my citizenship? I am currently on a 5 year HSMP visa, though coming to the end of the 4th year. As I applied for HSMP prior to Apr06, i know i can apply for ILR at the end of 4 years. What i gathered form t...

i'm about to apply for Set(o) from 4 years under HSMP JR. Initially was going to send in a postal application like i did with my HSMP and HSMP extensions but after reading some of the previous posts regarding ILR - they seemed kinda bleak so I've decided to pay the extra £200 and go for premium sam...

I'm sure all ramifications have been taken into consideration. Will the Home Office allow these hordes of Indians into the country? Btw, these posts appear to be dominated by Indians or their cousins from the subcontinent... why is that so? Just curious....
