Finally received the acknowledgment letter on 22rd of March, and a letter asking for biometrics.
1005£ fee was debited on 23rd of March.

Seems a tad slow ..

URGENT NCS tomorrow morning

Hello, I just realized my existing referees wrote they've known me for 2 and 2.5yeras. 3 year is the requirement. I have found two other persons, both are bankers by profession, and both hold a UK passport. Both over 25yo, and not related to each other or me etc. Ex work colleagues and friends. Neit...

Re: Absences

I used a PDF editor to fill the form . Take my word , Don't do it . It is one of the tedious things to be done. Especially in your case where you have around 400 days of abscence. Better write it by hand . Its the best . regards Narsii very easy actually! took about 5 minutes, using an online pdf t...

Re: Date of NCS appointment vs date of ILR

I understand you need to be in the UK when they send you the acknowledgment letter? You need to be in UK when they receive your application. Once they have received it then you are free to travel. This is incorrect. There is no requirement to be in the UK when HO receives the application. This requ...

Absences

Do you need to write all absences by hand in the form, or can you attach an excel printout?

I did attach the printout for the ILR. Have almost 400 days so its a lot to write by hand.

Re: Date of NCS appointment vs date of ILR
Date of NCS appointment is date of application.
thanks for the reply. Is this now 100% certain, that date of NCS appointment is date of application and I don't need to wait for a letter from the HO? This letter was previously considered as date of application. The section 6 of Gener...

Date of NCS appointment vs date of ILR

I tried searching the forum for an answer, but the unfortunate set of words results in too many irrelevant threads. I received my ILR on 26 Feb 2015 (the ILR card has this date actually) so I plan to apply for naturalistion asap on 26 Feb 2016, exactly 12 months later. The reason im doing it tight i...

Hello thanks to this forum I had obtained my ILR last year. I am now eligible to apply for British citizenship, after being for 12 months on ILR (5 year Tier 2 route to get the ILR). However, my company wants to relocate me to Austria. I still want to get the UK citizenship obviously. They will kee...

Re: UK naturalisation in parallel with Austria work permit

So much easier to do a move to Austria once you are British. Also, please note that once you have been approved and attended your citizenship ceremony, you have to return your ILR BRP card to HO within 5 days. thanks for your reply. I know its easier to move only after I become a citizen of the UK,...

Re: UK naturalisation in parallel with Austria work permit

Don't think that should be the case. Your current employer is looking to relocate you and surely this is not the first case where this has happened. As long as you are going there as an expat with an intention to return to UK - there seems no reason to me how and why HO refuse such application than...

Re: Employment requirements for Naturalisation

Yes, that's right. Employment only matters for things like ILR where the application is based on your employment. For citizenship it does not matter. Living on savings, or even being in debt doesn't matter either, unless you have so much debt and unpaid bills that it damages your good character ass...

Re: Employment requirements for Naturalisation

Employment is NOT a requirement for citizenship. If you are employed, you only need to provide your tax office or tax reference number which your employer can provide you with or you can find it on your P60. many thanks for your reply. So basically i dont need to be employed, a student etc, to appl...

Re: Tier 2 visa not curtailed but employment ceased

ILR finally approved on this basis. Note to everyone - do not always trust the advice from immmigration consultants and law firms if they say you case is not possible. I had two MAJOR firms refuse my application saying it is not within the rules. Even my first enquiry with the HO a year ago resulted...
