Re: Deed Poll

€250 to €300 is, I presume, inclusive of VAT.

If so, that amount of money is not expensive. there is a fair bit of work in getting the paperwork right.

Re: Stamp 4

It won't be a problem. Once the stamp 4 is granted, it is taken that the proper enquiries were made at the time and they won't look into it any further.

The other poster is correct about working though. Citizenship will not be a problem but only as long as you have taxable employment.

Re: how Irish bring non eu.spouse to Ireland

If your husband has both British and Irish passports, then you should apply under EU Treaty Rights by using his British passport. The advantages for this application (as opposed to a Spouse of Irish National application) is that (a) you will get a temporary stamp 4 about four weeks after you apply f...

Re: Rent with cats

What happens if the landlord finds out you have a cat, but haven't asked him for permission? It depends:- (a) If the lease specifically prohibits having animals on the property, then the tenant is in breach of the lease and the landlord can serve a "Notice to Quit" which gives a month's n...

Re: Rent with cats

There is no "law" about the level of notice that must be given by landlords to tenants in Ireland. It all depends on what is contained on the lease. Unless it is specified on the lease, the notice must be "reasonable".However, most leases will provide for a notice period but all ...

Re: Rent with cats

Most landlords do not want animals on the property - particularly if you are renting an apartment.

Re: Insurance Insurance Insurance

Does the non-eu wife of an EU citizen residing in Ireland require health insurance? This is a question that has been bothering me for several weeks. I understand that it's prudent and advisable, but the question I'm asking is would it affect her entry into Ireland and later application of residence...

Re: How to rent in Ireland. EU Member + Non-EU Citizen w/ do

Don't mention dogs or cats to a potential landlord! €800 is not very much - although it depends whether you're in a city or in the countryside. You shouldn't need references. You'll be asked to pay a deposit of (usually) one month's rent. As regards areas to avoid, Ireland is the same as every other...

Re: Non-EU PR, can I bring my wife here?

Bump. Really interested to hear from anyone in a similar position. The EU Directive is silent on the rights of a non-EU national family member of an EU national, who has acquired the right of permanent residence, to live in the host state with his own family members. As I mentioned, the UK's positi...
