And here's a final update from me. It took the HO a little longer than six months to get my application processed. Re: August 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I just called the helpline to complain again. I was told that my application had been processed on the 12th February and that their response was in the post.

I am hoping that it is a positive reply!

Re: British Citizenship ceremony abroad

I thought one of the criteria for obttaining British citizenship is that you intend to live and establish yourself in the UK. If you had the intention to move back to India, doesn't it contravene this requirement?

Re: Moving Abroad after applying British Citizenship

Hi Just to clarify, I will not be moving away until I submit the application which is this weekend. I will be completing BOTA and will tick intending to stay in the UK permanently. However, there might be opportunities arising that I might live in Sweden for a job opportunity. So does it mean that ...

Re: Moving Abroad after applying British Citizenship

Technically you are not allowed to do this. There is a question on the form AN 2.3 Please tell us in which country you intend to have your main home if you are naturalised. if you answer anything other than the UK, it would be very likely that your naturalisation request would be denied. Once you ob...

Re: April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

this is great! should we all send that request?? There's no point in doing more than one request for the same thing. It's not going to speed things up but it might uncover something going on that can then be followed up either directly with the HO or via your MP. I'd recommend to wait for the outco...

Re: April 2014 - Naturalisation Application Timeline

I am not one for speculating so I won't go into the details why it appears, looking at this forum, that EEA citizens haven't been naturalised as of lately. I did however submit a request for information under the FoI act that asks how many EEA applications were received in March, April and May and h...

Re: EEA citizen without PR and on-hold? Post here your timel

I sent a request for information that you may be interested in following. I basically want to know how many people in these circumstances have they approved for the period of March-May (to see how this compares with the 95% target) https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/naturalisation_of_eu_citizens...

How do you know that? Was it one of the call centre agents who told you that? If it was, I bet they only said that to fob you off until next year.

EEA citizen without PR and on-hold? Post here your timeline

I am starting a new thread as I think that many EEA applicants are on hold and this is a good way of keeping track of everyone. This follows the same format as other threads, but please only post if your application falls into the EEA category. Please use the template below. Eligibility criteria: EE...

As far as I know, only a EHIC card issued from outside of the UK would be valid.

Re: Naturalisation application processing timelines (only)

Being from the EU I didn't have to apply for ILR (5yr EEA + spouse is British) but does it speed things up? I applied in early September and have noticed that quite a few members who applied around the same time have already received approval... I am also EEA citizen without ILR and applied in earl...

Re: EEA national applying for BC without PR

I asked the exact same question a few days ago on this forum but got no replies. I applied on the 4th of August and still haven't been approved. From what I've been reading here NO ONE in this situation (EEA citizen without PR) has received approval since around May. If you are a EEA citizen without...

What's going on with EEA applications?

Reading a few different timeline threads, it appears that the HO hasn't been processing EEA applications without ILR since May!

Are there any EEA citizens that applied after May (no ILR) that have been processed?

And does anyone know why are they not processing these applications?
