IlR or British citizenship

Hi, My wife is British citizen. My spouse visa is due for renewal for second time. I have been in uk already for more than 5 years.

Can I apply for British citizen straight away instead of applying for ILR after 5 years spouse visa?

I am very confused. Please advise

yes u will get refused, i had the same prob. sounds ridiculous , i applied but rejected.

i got refused after i did everything, letters, explanations etc, cause i didnt match exact amount while depositing cash income. so unless u deposit the exact amount ( every penny) in back, there is no way for approval.
