Re: Healthcare and education under tier 2 visa? income tax?

I'm in no way an expert but I don't think you get any other 'benefits'. You pay Income Tax and National Insurance exactly like a British Citizen would for your salary. So I have to pay to put my children to state school? and get medical insurance? It's kinda unfair since I will be paying taxes. Don...

Re: Tier 2 Switching Sponsor..need help

As far as I know, no requirement for Maintenance or English Language required and you will need a restricted CoS.

Re: Tier 2 Switching Sponsor..need help

RLMT is required to switch from T2(G) to T2(G).

I don't know what links you're looking for but perhaps this?

Re: Information in regards to curtailment letter

Sorry to bump this thread. My situation is similar.

What was the outcome? Is it ok to assume that you have time to look for a new sponsor until you receive the date in the letter?

Re: Options for Possible overstay in Tier 2

This lack of clarity around whether you are supposed to wait for the curtailment letter is doing my head in. My situation is vaguely similar in that, I was made redundant last month and I haven't received any letter. I've told prospective employer that I have sufficient time at hand to finish all pr...

Re: Tier 2 General Redundancy - New Sponsor

Hi manci, Hope you've been well. I still haven't received any letter from the UKVI and I have confirmed that they have the correct address on the phone. I'm planning to call them up early next week to 'check' my status if that's possible. But I'm beginning to get worried with the uncertainty surroun...

So the date of the UKVI curtailment decision will be in the letter?

Cheers for all the help.

Re: Tier 2 General Redundancy - New Sponsor

manci, thank you for all your help here. Just a quick question. My last working day was January 2nd, 2015 and the UKVI was notified by my sponsor long ago (check two previous posts for quick details). I'm yet to receive my curtailment letter and you did mention a couple of times that there are curre...

Re: Tier 2 General Redundancy - New Sponsor

Thank you very much, that helps. I guess its motivated me to apply for a few jobs after all. One more thing, I will be notified of my grace period via a letter from the UKVI? If I don't receive any letter, can I call some helpline? or equivalent? Even by accident, I don't want to do stay illegally h...

Re: Tier 2 General Redundancy - New Sponsor

Hi, I've recently been made redundant and I wanted to know when my grace period will likely be ending. I'm considering if I should look for other jobs at all and only if the grace period is long enough, I will try. Anyway, here are details Last working day: 1st January 2015 My employer has already n...
