Hello mods,

May I please request you to ratify my understanding, in the above post, assuming the immigration rules have not changed recently?

Re: Spouse ILR

Thanks Vinny. I have noted the guidance on PBS travel. I am not keen on varying the Tier2-ICT to SET(LR) only because of the fees involved. I have three PBS dependents and the FLR(M) fees including the IHS would be a lot of money. I could delay my SET(LR) application by a couple of months which woul...

Re: PBS Dependent to LR

Thanks Vinny for the super quick response on a Sunday ;) On the point of PBS travelling, would the explanation given by me not hold true? If the PBS extant leave continue to remain valid why would travel be considered a risk especially when the decision on main applicant ILR has not been made. I am ...

Tier2-ICT to SET(LR)

Hello mods, My present Tier2-ICT is due to expire 28th Feb. We will be extending the Tier2-ICT via the company for a further two years. I do not see any challenge in that being granted. I plan to apply for SET(LR) as soon as the Tier2-ICT is granted. [Background: Been in the UK since Feb'11 on Tier2...

PBS Dependent to LR

Hello, Our present Tier2-ICT is due to expire 28th Feb. We will be extending the Tier2-ICT via the company for a further two years. I do not see any challenge in that being granted. I plan to apply for SET(LR) as soon as the Tier2-ICT is granted (say in Mar'21). The average timeline for an outcome s...

Tier 2 Dependent to FLR(M)

Hello, One of the documentary evidence for FLR(M) is to produce a letter from employer stating gross salary etc. Is there a template available that can serve as guidance? In the event, I am unable to source and submit the letter (despite meeting the income threshold etc) would this result in HO reje...

SET(F) for Child

Hello Mods, I have been reading on the settlement options for my kid and came across this . I assume this is SET(F). The eligibility criteria: You may be eligible for settlement (‘indefinite leave to remain’) if both of the following are true: you live in the UK with both of your parents --> YES bot...

Re: Spouse ILR

Thank you.
I have been reading through the guidance and other posts and have concluded that it is best to get the dependent apply for FLR(M) visa when the main applicant is applying for ILR via SET(LR) route.

Re: Spouse ILR

CR001, Vinny et al, I am trying to find out options that are financially prudent (and legal, of course). I am thinking of these two: Option 1: Main applicant applies ILR (LR) in Jan'21 Dependents apply FLR(M) the next day, with cover letter mentioning main applicant ILR Ref No and supporting documen...

Re: Spouse ILR

I come across this post where the advise from @Zimba is that the PBS dependent can continue to live in the UK on the current visa (Tier2 pbs dependent and are not considered overstayers or illegal in the UK) although the main applicant has moved onto ILR via LR route. The dependents can then apply f...

Yes Vinny, thank you. I did go through the post (and I've linked it to my question) and was the reason behind my question on PBS dependent continuing on the existing leave until eligible for ILR(via LR).

Re: Spouse ILR

Hello CR001, I entered UK 19 Feb 2011 whereas my spouse entered UK in Apr 2011. However, she had a 189 days gap between Sep'11 and Feb'12 and subsequently entered UK on same PBS visa on 16 Feb 2012. I do not think we can apply via PBS dependent route, so she, and my kids, will be eligible for ILR vi...

Re: Spouse ILR

Thank you CR001. Assume the PBS dependent has valid leave to remain, can they continue on the same visa and then apply for ILR when eligible or is it mandated in immigration rules that when the main applicant applies for ILR via LR route, all dependents must switch to FLR(M) or are deemed as oversta...

Re: Spouse ILR

Hello, I've been reading through the forum and came across this post FLR(M) or FLR(FP) My Questions: 1. When the main applicant routes via SET LR, does the dependent (without enough current leave) need to apply via FLR(FP) and then subsequently vary to FLR(M) when the main applicants ILR is granted?...
