Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

I feel your pain and anxiety. You just should be patient until after 6 months. Then you may ask questions about the delay. If you must know, I am celebrating the 5th month anniversary of my application today and still “awaiting a decision” ! General question... From which date do you account for th...

Yes, he is under 18 and was born in the UK - however, I was on a Tier 2 visa at the time he was born.

Re: Travel while MN1 application in progress

Thanks for the response! On a related note, once the naturalisaiton has been approved - will my son (or me) have to physically attend a ceremony of some sort, and is this mandatory? I've been reading that there is a time period within which this has to be done, after which the passport will be proce...

Travel while MN1 application in progress

Hi All, I'm currently on ILR and have applied for my son's naturalisation and UK passport in (MN1) June 2017, which is "awaiting a decision" as per the status on the website. I'm positive the passport will be issued, however I do have travel plans in December to visit my family back in Sri...

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi Community, I'm quite confused about my son's MN1 application for naturalisation - I've checked the status of the application via (https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/app/visa_application/checkvisastatus) and the statusis currently 'Awaiting a decision', last updated on 17 June 2017. I submitte...

Re: Travel to N.Ireland by plane - visa expired, MN1 in proc

Hi All,

I haven't still resolved this - so just to be safe, I'm not going to book my break in N. Ireland and will wait on my son's passport to arrive before we book any flights.

Thanks for all your input and time :)

Cheers,
Deen

Yes, I know Northern Ireland is part of the UK but I'm asking the question as my son will need to clear airport immigration with an expired (dependent) visa.

Travel to N.Ireland by plane - visa expired, MN1 in process

Hello Community! I'm currently on ILR (approved in April 2017) and my wife has just extended her T2 - PBS Dependent Visa for a further year (before she is eligible for ILR herself) however I did not extend my son's T2 Dependent visa as I've applied for his Naturalisation in May 2017. He has a valid ...

Re: I get ILR status - options for my wife and son?

Okay, thanks for that! So I can continue to extend my wife's PBS dependent visa even though I have now moved on to the ILR? They won't force me to move her on the FLR right? I will prepare my son's documentation then - I don't want Theresa May messing with any rules next April!! Also, slightly off t...

I get ILR status - options for my wife and son?

Hello All, Thanks in advance for your responses. I'm eligible for ILR now and will be lodging my application this month. My wife and son (born in UK) are both currently dependent on my Tier 2 visa which expires in September 2017. I've read through the UK Immigration website but confused with the dif...

Re: Tier 2 (General) - BRP application for new born baby

you will need a passport for your child to apply for visa/BRP. Thanks for confirmation. I have the option of going for a temporary passport (takes less time to process), which is a non-machine readable passport valid for up to 2 years - will this document be accepted for the BRP/visa and travel in/...

Tier 2 (General) - BRP application for new born baby

Hello, I've recently become a dad, and currently I'm on the Tier 2 General visa with a BRP. I've applied for a passport for my son, but my embassy has said this will take a while to be processed (2-3 months). In the meantime I need to travel out of the UK with my family (to Europe) and have been tol...
