T1 (G) to ILR === English ====

Hello Everyone, As per the new rule effective from 06th April 2016, do I need to go for English Language Assessment (ELA) through UK NARIC even if I have proved my English Language eligibility in T1 (G) initial and extension applications (over 5 - 6 years)? I had proved the same using PBS calculator...

Re: ILR rejection

what is the outcome of Admin Review? What are the next steps? Is it required to file the fresh application again or ILR will be granted overriding the refusal if things are sorted during the Admin Review process?

Re: ILR for Tier 2 ICT

Hi Simon, I have similar case like this. In brief, I came to UK on Tier 2 (ICT) in April 2010 (before 6th Apr 2010 rules) and filed for Tier 1 (Gen) in July (after 19th July 2010 rules). I went out of UK at the end of assignment in Sept 2010 (started in Apr 2010). I continued to work in India and ca...

Re: ILR Application filling Query

Thanks Sam for the prompt response. I have got Tier 1 (G) within UK in Jul 2010 (after 19th July 2010 rules) while I was in UK already on Tier 2 ICT (approved before 6th Apr 2010 rules). I have been out of UK in between Sept 2010 and June 2011 (285 days approx.). I got the impression that if someone...

Re: ILR Application filling Query

Hi,

Congrats! I have got similar case like you where I was out of UK for more than 180 days. Would you be ok to tell where did you apply for first Tier 1 (19-Apr-2009) - in UK or from outside UK? and does that make any difference in terms of ILR application?

Thanks

Re: T1 (Gen) - Eligible for ILR in Feb 2016?

I don't want to give any wrong impression therefore let me make it clear by saying that I am not trying to apply under current fee. All I want is soon (or sooner) the better but you are right, it is worth waiting rather than putting it on risk for refusal.

Re: T1 (Gen) - Eligible for ILR in Feb 2016?

Thanks for the reply. what about the case where an IT professional moves back to India and come back to UK lets say after spending 8 months and then they split the absences in two halves (less than 180 days) and during the period they are paid in India (ideally not in UK)? And second, do I really ne...

T1 (Gen) - Eligible for ILR in Feb 2016?

(Simplifying my previous query and putting it more clearly to understand just in case). Hi All, I am planning to apply for ILR soon if I am really eligible in Feb 2016 itself and that's where I request your response to clarify me some of my queries / questions (Q0 + Q1 + Q2 below). Here is the overa...

Tier 2 (ICT) / Tier1 (G) / 5 Yrs / ILR

Hi All, I applied Tier 1 (G) in July 2010 (after 19th July 2010) while I was in UK on Tier 2 ICT and went back to India in Sept 2010 as my employer told me to move back after the completion of current assignment (assignment started in April 2010 when first entered in UK on Tier 2 ICT approved before...

Re: Tier 1 General visa/5 years stay/ ILR Query

Couple of more questions - 1. You worked outside UK in between Feb 2011 to June 2011 which means you paid no tax and no NI in UK. I guess that you had no connection with employment in UK (means you worked for an employer based in some other country). How will you provide the absence proof? What lett...

ILR - when to apply - Feb'16 or June'16

Hi All, Got Tier 2 (ICT) - Mar'2010 (before rules in place on or before 6th April 2010) Traveled to UK - 20th April 2010 (after 6th April 2010 rules - so, not sure if these rule apply on me as my visa was stamped in March 2010 itself). Applied for Tier 1 (General) - 22nd July 2010 (after 19th July 2...
