Re: is there an ILR eligibility exception

Exceptions You may be able to extend your stay for another 2 years (known as ‘leave to remain’) even if you don’t meet all the eligibility requirements."
In my opinion, this exception is for those who already completed 10 years legally, but unable to meet the KOLL Requirements. Its not ...

Does 28 days Rule apply from Entry Clearance for 10 Years IL

Hello all, I know I'm asking a silly question, but my solicitor has confused me and he says that for 10 years ILR Route, 28 days rule will apply from the date of first entry into the UK, not from Entry clearance visa date. I'm planning to book an appointment for same day consideration of my case and...

Re: Three Options to get visa extension for my family

What region of the UK do you reside? I work in the legal field, but I am minded not to be seen as advertising myself on the forum. I am unsure why they said your wife will not succeed. Perhaps they know more than I do. My most major concern for your wife is whether you have addressed the issues sur...

Re: Three Options to get visa extension for my family

I remember advising your wife on this board, and one could only hope that she gave detailed thought to our advise. She is three years away from DLR, so it will be wholly unwise for her to continue again, giving the circumstances under which she acquired it. Thank you Obie for your reply and advise. ...

Re: Three Options to get visa extension for my family

Sorry forgot to mention that I don't have a settled status yet and need more than a year to complete my legal stay of 10 years. I went to a solicitor and she is on the opinion that my wife should apply for the extension of her 3 years Discretionary leave, no matter what her circumstances are now. Sh...

Re: Three Options to get visa extension for my family

You need to say under what category you will be applying (for all of you) for ILR? And also why you think the different answers have the % success you have quoted. What are the visa categories and start and expiry dates for you and your family?? Thank you for your reply. Here are the options and ch...

Re: Effects of DV on ILR (10 years Route)

Should have no bearing. Ask the MP to chase the application once 6 months have passed. She won't have claimed Aslyum for DV. Thank you Amber for your reply. Just one more question about his case. When his wife on Discretionary leave and was living by her own, she claimed all the benefits which she c...

Effects of DV on ILR (10 years Route)

Hello I'm asking a question on behalf of my friend who is not a registered member on this forum. He had a history of DV in HO & Police records, but nothing was proved against him. Actually, his wife who was on his dependant visa called police few times just to scare him by calling 999 from land ...

Re: I can't surrender my passport for ILR
Hi, Why dont you try same day service at a PEO ? Thank you for your reply. As I mentioned that I'm ready to pay for same day service at a PEO, but they won't allow me to do so on the basis of 10 year long residence and if I wait until December 2016 to complete my 5 years ...
