New guidance came into effect on April 6, 2015. Are you saying that only people who applied after April 6 will have their fingerprints deleted automatically? Click here please. You dont need to anymore. According to Guide AN , which is much clearer now: SECTION 6: BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT your fingerprint details will be retained until we are notified that you have attended your citizenship ceremony . My fingerprints were still in the system 8 weeks after attending my ceremony...

@secretsimon Thanks, I already know about the CoEtRoA. However as I have no restrictions on multiple citizenships, I don't see any advantage of this. It costs more than the passport and there is no in-person service either, which means there is the same risk of documents being lost by the bureaucrac...

You only need the documents that milan69 has said: application form, passport (preferably covering the 5 year period), proof of ILR, LIUK test, (English test / degree if applicable). If they need anything else they will ask you. They should be able to tell where you have been from your passport (tho...
