But then why does the form refer to the guidance notes...which say to enter the day you entered the UK with view to stay on a long term basis
As a visit visa is obviously not a long term.

What I'm saying is he didn't include his wife's passport so they probably didn't think he was applying on marriage basis

Refused for applying too early. Personally I think that he didn't apply as the spouse of UK citizen.. As he's no longer with his wife, they're separated...that seems to be the most likely reason.

And also, like my case...im british and my hubbys iranian. Hubbys spouse visa started in 2012, he got ILR in July 2014 so eligibility as it stands, is still under the 3 year rule...right?

The guy returned to uk in december 2011 on spouse visa. he did 2 year spouse, and 1 year ILR... so why does he need to wait another 2 years? his wife is english.

Ok but the woman at checking service spoke to.a caseworker in the HO and they said it depends on which Case worker you get.they may use discretion if you ask but it's simply a 50/50 gamble.

But my husband didn't enter the UK illegally. He entered on a visit visa and overstayed it. He returned voluntarily and his spouse visa avisa was initially refused due to them claiming we hadn't put documents in that we had proof we did include. We won appeal when someone obviously went over it.

The council's do settlement checking services for £90.
We went day before going to.Sheffield peo.
The woman at settlement checking service put it all together for us and next day we gave it to them as she prepared. Hubby was granted within 2 hours x

Section 3, 3.5 it asks for Tax Office Adress or Tax Office Reference :: is that my tax reference or is it my employers Tax Reference?? How can I find this out?

Ok so would this be okay:: I entered he UK on a visit visa in July 2009. From December 2009-Septmeber 2011 I admit I overstayed. This was to continue my relationship with my partner( now wife) However to do things properly I voluntarily left the UK and applied for a Spouse visa from Iran. I rejoined...

Can we say we didn't realise it had expired and once we knew we consulted a solicitor who informed us that the only way t was to.go.home and apply from.outside the UK and that hubby did so voluntarily,
