I have just received the approval letter and the citizenship invite. the date of ceremony is booked on 29-November, which i am ok with.

But i have booked a trip to Iceland next week, is it still ok for me to travel on my existing passport and ILR card?

after more than 7-months wait, i have received the approval letter and ceremony invite today.

i contacted UKVI twice and my local MP helped as well.

Hi DId you mean you had received the approval via email? Did you try contacting local MP or emailing HO by yourself ? It's 2nd Oct now and the 6 months has passed.

Except the biometrics letter and a confirmation email, I have not received anything from HO so far.

How do u think I should contact HO? Call or Email?

Be aware that the 6 months standard processing time is just that, a statement of how long it takes approximately to process a naturalisation application.
