Re: Registration Certificate EEA (QP) Refused (HO fault)

I did sent the reconsideration letter as stated above and about 3 weeks later I received my certificate (btw no apology on the letter, but at least it saved me reapplying).
Good luck!

Re: EEA(PR): Questions about supporting documents (EU nation

Thank you for your reply, very useful! I am still worried about the national ID as a valid document because those of my home country (Greece) do not have an expiry date and are not machine readable, but I will try it anyway and see what happens. If you can avoid it DONT sent your id card. I sent mi...

Re: Registration Certificate EEA (QP) Refused (HO fault)

Just an update, I sent a Reconsideration letter (special delivery) to the case worker that handled my case on Monday (01.02.16). I decided to re-apply through a PEO service as well as its free for Registration Certificates (EEA). I booked that for the 29.02.16. I can cancel this up to five days befo...

Re: Registration Certificate EEA (QP) Refused (HO fault)

Hi Thanks for the replies I wrote a letter explaining the error and to be reconsidered, I will addressed it to the case worker that handled my application and post it express and signed for tomorrow morning. I was wondering if its worth calling them first, is there a change of speaking to the case w...

Re: Registration Certificate EEA (QP) Refused (HO fault)

That is wrong and you must seek reconsideration. It makes no sense to appeal. You could have used a PEO service. Hi Obie Thanks for your reply I considered the PEO service but because (so I thought) it it a straight forward case I didn't want to loose a day off work so I applied by post. I didn't e...

Registration Certificate EEA (QP) Refused (HO fault)

Hi all I just received today a letter form the HO refusing a Registration Certificate on the ground that my National ID card is expired. I am a EEA (Greek) national and submitted my Greek ID card as a proof. They said that they refused me because its expired on 22-03-2007. This is WRONG, this date i...

EEA (QP) Registration Certificate times

Back in December I applied for a Registration Certificate as an EEA - used form EEA(QP) I was wondering what are the time scales for processing the application. I thought it was a straight forward process but i received an email telling me it might take up to 6 months. Is this a standard email? Does...

Re: Registration Certificate as a EEA - Expiration Date

[quote -Mine doesn't have an expiry date. -Mine was issued a few weeks after I applied; this would have been the issue date. In total it took 29 days to be processed in total. It is not dated in line with your employment at all. Hi thanks for your reply. -How long did it take for the HO to sent you...

Registration Certificate as a EEA - Expiration Date

Hi -I was wondering if the "Registration Certificate as a European Economic Area" has an expiration date? -Also when does the start date starts? From the document issue date or the start of employment (I have been self employed for the last 3.5 years - so will the start date be form when I...

Hi again, where do I apply for " confirmation of PR" as suggested? Is this the same as applying for PR?

Thanks

Re: Spouse is British Citizen and I am EEA

It depends what you were doing in UK over that period. I was in full time employment in that period. Do your u know if there is anywhere I can get advice? I phoned the helpline on the gov site and got conflicting advice, one adviser said I will still need to prove. 5 years, and another that this RP...

Re: Spouse is British Citizen and I am EEA

2) It appears you had a RP for 2001-2006; if you exercised treaty rights continuously as a qp up to 2006 maybe you could have acquired PR sometime in 2006.[/quote]

Any idea on how do I find out if I acquired PR?

Thanks for your help

Re: Spouse is British Citizen and I am EEA

Many thanks for your helpful replies CR001 and noajthan. You are more knowledgeable than the guy I spoke to on the gov. immigration help desk! I think have to wait another year to apply for PR as I have gaps in my employment history. Two more questions: 1. In the mean time, Is it worth applying for ...

Spouse is British Citizen and I am EEA

-I want to apply for British Citizenship through "marriage to a British citizen" (we have been married for 11 years). -I am an EEA citizen (Greek). Going the marriage route I need to have as stated on gov site: "lived in the UK for at least the 3 years before your application is recei...
