Is the student visa and Entry Clearance two seperate applications? I have seen posts regardig applying for student visa, then waiting for Entry Clearance. Or maybe I have been reading so many posts I have become confused. Also, is there any way to apply for student visa MORE than three months before...

if i were to enter UK on student visa, and was on that visa for 3 years, that time would NOT count toward ILR, correct? What about work permit granted unde the Fresh Talent in Scotland Scheme. That is a two year permit. Would those two years count?

a person just spent 3 years at UK university on student visa. Do they have to return to home country to apply for either WP or HSMP, and do they have to return home to apply for Entry Clearance?
