Re: Correct application form child of father with ILR and mother with British Citizenship

Just wanted to share an update to everyone following this thread that my daughter successfully received her CoE for RoA this week. Applied from a Tier 1 Indian city and the CoE has been issued and passport returned within 10 days - well ahead of the advised timelines of 3 weeks. Once again, thank yo...

Re: Correct application form child of father with ILR and mother with British Citizenship

@CR001 and @Ticktack - Huge thanks for your prompt response! I reached out to UK Visas and Immigration for the CoE to RoA document list, and it appears to be much simpler compared to the family visa requirements. Planning to submit my application soon, and if all goes well, I'd be thrilled to treat ...

Re: Correct application form child of father with ILR and mother with British Citizenship

Thank you very much @CR001 - really appreciate your quick response. Please can you tell me the advantages/disadvantages of choosing one over the other - British Passport vs RoA. I infer that by choosing RoA, my child doesn't need to give up her Indian citizenship. But are there any other points to c...

Correct application form child of father with ILR and mother with British Citizenship

Hello everyone, I obtained my ILR in 2018 and made a decision not to pursue British citizenship. However, my wife, originally an Indian citizen came to the UK as my dependent, got her ILR in 2019 and opted for British citizenship in 2021. Recently, my wife, in need of medical assistance, traveled to...

CoS related query due to multiple job offers in hand

Hi there, I have received a job offer from a company about a month ago who have successfully conducted an RLMT. They are about to get started with the Visa process and generating a CoS is part of it. I have also received a job offer from another employer, and they are about to post the offer letter ...

Re: Unrestricted Cos Waiting times - please advise

Hi Sreenivasan, Thanks for sharing your views. I have written to the HR. This MNC doesn't particularly sponsor a lot of work visas. And from what the HR told me after sending the offer letter, they seem to have a good number of CoS to hand. Please can someone confirm a question that I have - When a ...

Re: Unrestricted Cos Waiting times - please advise

Hi Sreenivasan,

I am in a similar situation to yours, but my prospective employer is still in the process of conducting RLMT. Do you think it is a good idea to remind them about having a spare "Unrestricted CoS" in hand so that they can use to apply for my visa?

Re: Tier 2 visa RLMT job advert guidelines

Sorted. The HR did her thing - Universal Jobmatch advert now shows closing date and salary range.

And yeah, the "Posting Date" hasn't changed, so that has saved at least 4 days.

Thanks for sharing your views.

Re: about COS

Hi all, Thanks for sharing your experiences . I am a tier 2 depended, working in a uk company from last 4 years . They are happy to process my visa using restricted cos . First they applied with out RLMT process and COS got rejected with reason no RLMT information . Now in order to process RLMT now...

Re: about COS

Hello, I am currently on a T2G with my current employer. I've been offered a job from a new employer who have sent in a unrestricted CoS request for me. The request was put in on Monday the 2nd of March 15. How long until I hear back? Additionally, once I get the CoS, im hoping to use the premium s...

Re: Tier 2 visa RLMT job advert guidelines

Thank you. I have finally heard back from the HR. Looks like its the Job Centre Plus guys who got it wrong. I hope she gets them to amend it and hopefully the 28 day timer doesn't get reset. This is what she said: Hi xxxxxx I will take a look at this as have to admit, I have had a real nightmare wit...

Re: Tier 2 visa RLMT job advert guidelines

Thank you. The job description is precise. In fact everything else is except for the application deadline and salary range. For some reason the HR didn't respond to my email, nor did she add the information to the job advert. A lot of adverts I see don't necessarily have this information - they ment...

Re: I need UKBA Helpdesk number please?

Hi there, I am in a similar scenario - the HR is not entirely sure of the process. They have advertised the job without closing date and salary range. I think you need to speak to your HR and make sure the job advert meets all the rules mentioned in Sponsor guidance (Section 28): https://www.gov.uk/...

Re: Tier 2 visa RLMT job advert guidelines

Thanks for your kind response.

I have written to the HR already. I guess once the HR amends the job post in the Job Centre Plus advert, the date gets reset, wouldn't it? I mean 28 days from the day the job post is amended?

Tier 2 visa RLMT job advert guidelines

Hi there, I am currently employed and I have an employer sponsored Tier2 work permit granted via SOC route. I have a job offer from another employer and it is after giving me the job offer that they have found out that the job they have advertised is not on the SOC list - although the job duties are...
