Re: New policy

I think she wants to introduce to the university students too. At the moment university students can easily switch to Tier 2 without any residence labor market test or cap. That's why Cambridge university was not happy and Osborne blocked it.

Sorry guys. I understand. Thank you so much.

Just wanted to squeeze every single pound out of my capital just like normal businesses do. Will not pursue this strategy now.

Thanks again.

Re: Excess Cash

Hi Zimba, I understand but i don't want to just buy stocks and that't it. I want to invest the excess cash while I have no use for it. Overtime I will sell the stocks and pay for normal business expenses. Just like many other businesses who invest their excess cash in treasuries. (I intend to spend ...

Switching from Tier 1 GE

Hi, When I first for my Tier 1 GE, I immediately invested £50k as a share capital into the company. In the last 9 months I have spent about £10k, so about £40k is left in the business account. Do I need to add/invest another £10k into the company when I went to switch in a couple of months time? Kin...

Long Residence ILR - ECHR/EU Law - After Brexit??

Hi,

Does anybody know whether 10 year long residency rule is based on ECHR or any other European law? If you had to bet, would you think it will be abolished in the next 3 years?

Thank you.

Pre startup costs

Hi I am on Tier 1 GE and spent almost £3k on market research and other costs before setting up my company from my own wallet. Is there anyway I can transfer these costs to my company and record them as an expense in my management accounts as I want to switch to the main category in September? regards,

Unfortunately no switching is possible from Tier 4. Out of country application will probably get rejected due to lack of experience. They expect students to follow Tier 1 graduate route, I think.

Hi.

I was endorsed for Tier 1 Graduate but my university endorsed me. No university will ever endorse a student from outside university. The application process is extremely hard and long and they are taking a huge responsibility and risk for endorsing you for absolutely no fee.

Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Does anybody know what would be the effect of refusal of first application on long residency? assuming first application is submitted well in advance of visa expiry and second application leads to a visa approval after AR.

Thanks

Register as self-employed

Hi,

I'm on Tier 1 Graduate Visa. I incorporated my company in December immediately after I switched from Tier 4. Do I need to register as self employed or being registered as a director is enough?

Kind regards
