Quick Question

Hey guys, quick question here.

If you apply to naturalisation based on EUFAM you have to send the residency check calculator. However, if you apply through marriage/civil partnership with an Irish citizen, they do not mention anything. Do you guys know if you have to send it anyway or not?

Thanks!

Simple question

Hey guys, I was wondering, if my partner (EU National) becomes Irish Citizen, would I be able to apply for citizenship as married to an Irish? The thing is: We are in a civil partnership already for more than 1 year and if he applies next year, I would only wait until 2018 (being married to an Irish...

Re: EU becoming Irish Citizen

Provided you are married to an Irish Citizen and have been living in the state with that citizen for 3 years you can apply for naturalisation. Does not matter where the marriage took place . Hi Obie, thanks for you answer! The thing is I'm just not 100% sure if I can apply as being married to an Ir...

EU becoming Irish Citizen

Hey guys, I just have a quick question, which I am not 100% sure yet. My partner is an EU national and by the end of this year he will be applying to become an Irish Citizen. The question is: At the moment I'm holding a Stamp 4 EUFAM visa. If he becomes Irish Citizen will I be married to an Irish Ci...

That is my understanding. Brophy share my views also. http://brophysolicitorsimmigration.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/eu-treaty-rights-and-applications-for.html?m=1 Hey Obbie, actually I was agreeing with you. It's just someone up there that said that residency would only start counting when we actually ...

Re: Got my EU3 approved today! but only 10 years visa

How come a temporary visa doesn't count? If you are granted with a Stamp 4 and it DOES count as residency. Before giving out any information we need to make sure that it is correct, right? Also, I have one question, someone said in a different post that residency starts counting as soon as you enter...

Re: Naturalisation after Stamp 4

Time starts counting when I first arrived in Ireland with my partner then? I could swear that it started when I first got my temporary stamp 4 eufam. Are you guys sure about this? According to the application form you need a printout of the citizenship tracker saying you're good to go. When we firs...

Obie wrote:The form ask you to provide 3 proofs for each year, not for each addresses you lived in a year.

You can provide 3 proof from 3 different address you resided in that year.
You're the best Obie! :)

Re: Laywer for naturalisation process

Hi Obie, That's correct. I was just reading the citizenship form and it says: 'Please submit three different proofs of residence for each year showing name and address for this period'. Does it mean that if if has lived in 2 different addresses in one year he will need to send 6 proof of addresses (...

Re: Laywer for naturalisation process

Thank you for that! Much appreciated. If he applies for the naturalisation and gets it, can I apply for mine as being in a civil partnership to an Irish national, instead of an EU? Or they won't allow it, since they can allow that he just become Irish citizen? Does it make any difference being born...

Re: Laywer for naturalisation process

Hi Obie, Thank you very much for your response! I'm not the one applying, my partner (Spanish national) will apply for the Irish one, he's been here for more than 4 years. He got here in 2011. However, the question is: He came here as a student in 2011, to study in Trinity. He opened his bank accoun...

Re: Is PRTB still compulsory

Well, it is! Sounds like a joke but it is.

A friend of mine had to seek for advise with Solvit, because they wanted to refuse her visa because she didn't give the PRTB letter. Solvit helped her on getting the visa, because they just can't do this.

EUFam querie

Hey guys, I have a friend who's married to an EU citizen and both are living in Ireland and exercising their rights here. They have been married for one year now and together as a couple for two. She got her Stamp 4 EUFam in May this year. (The temporary one she got in January) However, due to ongoi...

Stamp 4 EUFAM holders

Hi guys,

When we have a Stamp 4 EUFAM it says that if we move to a different place we should advise INIS. But does it mean that we need to send everything again? (PRTB, signed contract & utility bills) Or should we just send an email saying that we moved and the new address is XXXX ?

Thanks!

Hi @roddy1984!

Thank you for your reply!

Well, since you are a permanent resident already I do not see any problem on applying for it. But if I were you I would definitely wait for the naturalisation and as soon as you become Irish citizen you apply for you family to be here with you.

Re: 4EU Fam Query While I am on 4EUFam stamp myself

Hi!

To be honest, I do not see any problem with that. Also, I would like to ask you something, when you got divorced, how many years did you have already on a Stamp 4 EUFAM, to be approved? And why 10 years?
If you're holding a Stamp 4 EUFAM after 5 years you can apply for naturalisation, right?
