Also your tax year 14/15 will include your income/net profit/dividend from 01/10/2014 to 31/03/2015.

Therefore, if you continued trading beyond 30/09/2014, your tax return for 2014/15 will include ^

Re: Tax in 2 Financial Years! Vinny,Amber,CR001 n Seniors Pl

Dear Gurus/Seniors Members, I want to ask if the due tax can be split between two financial years? If some one has claimed £30000 self-employment earnings from 01 October 2013 to 30 September 2014 and the net profit from 01 October 2013 to 5 April 2014 was £16000 and from 6 April 2014 to 30 Septemb...

Re: deception ILR refused

@vv76, I will add this for you; Your boyfriend needs to have his bank statement ready from april to april for the tax year, demonstrating that he received £34,800 in fees and paid out £7,200 in expenses. He needs to match these with their invoices. Take all this to the interview and he stands in a b...

Re: deception ILR refused

@vv76 - unless the tax year ( april to april ) and his initial application ( september to september) was the same dates, there's bound to be discrepancies between the two. This is just common sense. If the income and further expenses incurred was genuine and your boyfriend has proof of these in term...

Re: deception ILR refused

he had payed less tax in his initial T1 general ,so we all worried. Hi do you mean to say that on his initial application; 1) he showed a certain amount and after getting the visa, he later on amended the return and paid less tax? 2) or, he didn't amend his tax return but hasn't paid the whole amou...

Re: deception ILR refused

Don't know about the guidelines of HO being published etc; however, what argus said about the HO rejecting an application is most probably correct. That's just common sense because if HO check with HMRC and there is no record of any PAYE having been paid, obviously they will take the view that the e...

Re: Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) - Public fund?

Is that not just a replacement of childcare vouchers? Childcare vouchers aren't public funds; they are a "salary sacrifice". You and your partner are effectively paying for it, but given a "tax relief". It's taken from your gross salary, instead of net. How it will work The new s...

i just have pay slips , nothing else :( Does your payslip show that you paid the tax and NI? Can you call HMRC and request for your missing P60 etc?. AFAIK, HMRC cannot provide a replacement or missing P60 , its called Statement of earnings and comes only from the employer like a P60 or a P45. Than...

Re: deception due to less tax submission impact on ILR

Thanks hellonewhere, but the problem here in ILR applications are that there is no appealing rights even its rejected for wrong reasons , the candidate has to suffer. So paying all the tax doesn't mean that we will get the ILR, again if government changes and new rules brought to tighten ppl going ...

@ Jaya - if you can't call HMRC, can you walk into your local jobcentre and ask them to request it for you?

Take your ID and NI etc and payslip with you, am sure they can request it for you.

Following this thread and I'd agree that you are safer assuming that the HO will check HMRC records with every individual application you make. I recall when applying for ILR in person (WP+T1), I had my 5 years of P60's which they took to verify, when I asked whether they were required. Yes, on a s...
