Additionally, did you have continuous valid visa? And did you ask your Indian company for the employer letter quoting ILR as the requirement or told them it is for something else: -) Yes I had continuous visa. If I would have applied in Jan then gap in a single year would be more the 180 days. As I understand continuous period is counted backwards form your application date. Please let me know if that is not correct.
