I am a British citizen and I returned to the UK with my non EU wife via the Surinder Singh route in 2020 and she was granted pre-settled status early 2021. My question is as we save all the documents required for when we apply for Settled status will she still need to have CSI? From what i have hear...

Re: Advice on moving to the UK

I sympathise with the advice from @iwolga You were in Spain then left for Ireland were your wife had to start her immigration journey from day now. Now, after a few years, you want to move to the UK. The Home Office will not "exchange" the Irish leave against a British one. She will start...

Advice on moving to the UK

I am a British citizen currently living in Ireland with my non-EU wife. We lived in Spain for a year where she had an EUFAM residence card then we moved to Ireland in 2016. We have been in Ireland nearly 4 years and here she has a Stamp4 residency permit which is the same as an EUFAM. All these year...

Re: Stamp 4 and UK

Single national with British passport. No I'm not exercising treaty rights. I've moved here under the common travel agreement between the two countries. The immigration officer told me we can travel to England with the card as I said but I'm not 100% sure due to things I've read.

Stamp 4 and UK

I'm a British citizen living in Ireland and my non EU wife has been given a stamp 4 to stay in Ireland. The immigration officer told me that with this we can travel to the UK but I'm not too sure as everything I see online seems to say otherwise. Has anyone had any experience with this? We don't get...

Re: Moving to Ireland

Reading your surinder singh post I guess as I will not be requiring a visa for my wife as she will be entering on her European Residency Permit from Spain all we need to do is visit Gardia?? Not requiring such an entry visa will potentially save weeks/months of delay. Yep, that's my understanding, ...

Re: Movingto Ireland

I must add I am a British citizen and my wife has a European Residency permit for Spain so I believe a visa will not be needed as A European Residents Permit allows freedom of movement within Europe.

Movingto Ireland

Hi, I am currently living in Spain with my non EU Wife. I will be moving to Ireland later this year as I would rather live in an English speaking country and to be honest it should be easier to get a job. I am self sufficient in Spain but am bored not working. I am travelling to Ireland next week to...

Her job ends at the end of the month so she will no longer have a job. She does however own property. I have no ties to the country except for her. All my ties are in the UK. I own property and have family in the UK. We only want a visa so that she can come to the UK with me whilst I sort a few thin...
