Re: ILR sponsor letter date

HI just a quick follow. up question on my sponsor letter query please. My ILR application was submitted on 20/3 and my biometric appointment is delayed to 16/6. I undertand that documents should be dated from date of submission of application online. The current sponsor letter was issued to me on 16...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Just wondering , has any one who attended an appointment or already booked an appointment got an email from HO saying that processing may take more than 6 months? I submitted my application on end of march and have an appointment booked on 16/6 and personally have not received any emails from HO up ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

No, I haven’t received any acknowledgment letter. Just this email saying it may take longer than standard 6 months. The wording is “may take longer” it’s not it’ll take longer. For continuation of Sec 3C, the employers can perform ECS and HO usually confirm a person’s right to work in 5 working day...

Re: Priority service status post COVID

At the moment all priority service is suspended. It is not very clear if the HO will honour those who already paid for that service prior to lockdown. It seems unlikely I think the majority will not get a decision with in the priority time line. Did they send you any update email or mention of a ref...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I found this on Gov website. https://www.gov.uk/faster-decision-visa-settlement Hopefully this may mean that those who already have priority paid for prior to lockdown may get a faster decision than standard. The 6 months standard processing time , is that usually counted from the date you submit yo...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied for ILR early March using the Super priority service. After one cancellation and 2 postponements I attended an appointment yesterday and I have received home office's decision letter :D . I hope this helps to settle some nerves. All the best. Congratulations, I applied late march and had ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@Daided yes we had to rebook for free because we had paid before lockdown and i had my appointment with my kids yesterday at 18.30pm. There were not many people , it seemed like we were all families because when i rebooked available times were 1830, 1900 and 1930pm in croydon. My husband however ha...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

It’s really worrying and depressing that the processing can take more than 6 months now :( It's utterly ridiculous to be honest, it's been setup this way in order to force people to pay for the "priority" service and ensure they get an additional chunk of money per application. I don't kn...

ILR sponsor letter date

I am applying for ILR visa Tier2 general. My application was submitted on 20/3 My appointment on 26/3 was delayed until 16/6. I understand from previous posts that bank statements and payslips submitted only need to be dated 28 days prior to the application submission date, which for me would be 20/...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Remember only handful UKVCAS locations are open. That means much less people are giving biometrics. Even if millions have applied super priority during lockdown they will have to wait for biometrics. So the pressure is on UKVCAS not on UKVI. In my reasoning there is no reason why UKVI would delay s...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I managed to book an appointment on 16/6 following my initial appointment on 26/3 being delayed 4 times. I did pay for the super-priority service before lockdown and sincerely hope that by the time of my appointment the priority service is back. 6 month is a very long time to wait!! Be great if appl...

Jojo19 & others who got to email to rebook , Did you guys apply for super-priority ? I assume they are giving preference to super-priority customer than standard one like me. My last appointment was scheduled on 22nd June, which is not appearing now and haven't got any email to rebook. I also a...

Re: Application timelines during COVID and any recourse or means to expedite

Hi there, I have applied for ILR (set m) on a 5 year route using the super-priority service. I did my biometrics on 23rd March the day before we went into lockdown. I was hoping to hear within 24 hours, but that didn't happen. My application was straightforward. Same address and job for 5 years, tr...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

This is really depressing  ! So that means that potentially a decision can take more than 6 months from the day you attend your appointment at UKVCAS??!!! I understand that on section 3C you remain on your same visa regulations until a decision for ILR is taken. Inlight of these significant del...

Does the new measures released today indicate in any way that UKVCAS will reopen? Hi Amro, I hope that based on this phased unlock plan appointments should start by phase 2 planed for beginning of June. So hopefully if things stay in control we might go for our appointment in June. Let’s watch and ...

May I ask when was your initial appointment and in which centre plz? The documents they asked you to scan have you already scanned it to UKVCAS prior to HO emailing you? My initial appointment was end of March, delayed thrice to mid June. All for Croydon. I didn’t scan my whole passport for UKVCAS....

Feels like there is some progress despite all these delays. Thank you for updating us. I am yet to receive any email ...
