Re: New citizenship form UKF

Hello all, My daughter had her biometric data captured on the 06 June, and instill haven't heard anything from them. Eight months now from receiving her application. How long does it take to verify the info they require?? May be we'll be lucky and get a nice Xmas surprise. :D :D Call them on the Na...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Today I received my daughter's certificate of British Citizenship courtesy of UKF and it is a great feeling! Took just over a couple of weeks to get to me here in Thailand, but the certificate is dated around end of October, which was give or take a couple of days, more or less exactly 6 months afte...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Cases in the MN1 thread (which in my opinion are not likely to be less complicated than a UKF application) are running a lot quicker at around 2 to 4 months judging by the timelines. Of course, these people paid a lot more than most of us but we didn't set the fees so we shouldn't be penalised for p...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I am not so sure that knowing others are in the same boat is reassuring. I would prefer to hear that other applications had received Citizenship and that the Home Office was working through them slowly but surely. The idea that there is now an increasing pile on another desk doesn't give me a lot of...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

My daughter's application passed 6 months over the weekend so today I called the number and excitedly selected the "longer than 6 months option" and asked if it was possible to get some kind of update, but unfortunately, the answer was that they are unable to give any information over the ...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Thanks very much for the info! The reason why I'm asking about the documents they want to see is that my passport is expired (it was valid when I sent it off but expired while I was waiting for some kind of reply from them) and I hope they're fine with an American driving licence, which is the most...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I hope you don't mind my asking: in what kind of place did they do the biometrics procedure, and what kind of documents did they want to see? Did they merely scan a barcode on the biometrics letter as another person said they did in Britain, or were they more pernickety about seeing documents? Hopi...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Paul29 does that mean you finally got something from UKVI? Did they take your fee and send you info for biometrics? I still haven't heard anything and they haven't deducted my money and you were the only one I knew waiting as long Yes, I received the letter Friday afternoon, and I went with my daug...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

VFS APPOINTMENT SYSTEM NOT WORKING I have reached VFS contact center and told them about their appointment system, and they gave me another number to call because they do not handle concerns about Overseas Citizenship applicants. So I called the number and again told them the problem. And again the...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

It is good for all of us that some people are making progress but when you applied before them and have not even had the fees taken out of your bank it does make you worry that something somewhere has gone wrong in your case. Although the same inconsistency of timelines does seem to be happening in ...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

Thanks for the info Yanni. There is a real lack of information or feedback available concerning these UKF applications and you are the first that we are aware of that has even had fees deducted from their bank so that is progress and congratulations I and I am sure all others with pending applicatio...

Re: Anyone had a reply using the UKF form

My UKF form was received at the Home Office 27th April so 44 days and counting for me (only 30 working days though :) ). No acknowledgement received yet. No fee debited either although it is a section 4G application where there is no fee other than ceremony fee so it could be that this kind of appli...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I just filed my UKF form earlier this month also. It's been over 3 weeks and they haven't deducted the fee or acknowledged receipt yet which doesn't seem to bode well for the time it will take to actually process the application. I had filed originally with form AN and they told me I had to use the...

Re: New citizenship form UKF

I lodged my application (which was under section 4G) through NCS on 23rd April and it was received by the Home Office on 27th April which as at end of yesterday is still only 18 working days by my calculations..... although of course it 'feels' longer. To date the fee has not been debited but as sec...

New citizenship form UKF

Hi Firstly, apologies for my first post being a new topic but I couldn't find any threads concerning the new UKF form (Application for registration as a British citizen by a person born before 1 July 2006 whose parents were not married) I submitted a citizenship application for my daughter a couple ...
