Hi,

If they have mailed you the decision, your documents would be in the same post :(, as HO returns the documents with the decision letter.

Call up HO to confirm. Not an ideal situation to be in !!

Hi ashishgusani, If you are on WHM since early 2005, there is no way you claim the student benefit and submit earning evidence for year 2002-2003 !! Student benefit in terms of past earnings can only be claimed if you are presently a student. You will not be able to score in past earnings unless you...

Hi gjkris, Am slightly confused whether you are in UK on a "student visa" or "work permit" visa :? If you are a full-time full fee paying international student in UK on a "student visa" and that "student visa" is due to expire before you can re-sit your exams,...

It is the date on which the application is received at HO that matters.

If your application reaches on or after 01-Oct, the 12 month earning period will become Octo'05 to Sep.'06. If it reaches on or before 30-Sep, the 12 month earning period will be Sep'05 - Aug.'06.

FLR (IED) applications - service standards

26 September 2006 We have recently received an increase in FLR (IED) applications, which has temporarily had an impact on our ability to clear 70% of such cases within our 20 working day service standard. We are taking steps to rectify the situation and have deployed additional resources to increase...

Hi Abhijeet,

With no disrespect to you or the roles you've been on till date, working in MNC doesn't necessarily mean that you are at graduate level role !! What do your reference letters state ?? Do they mention clearly your main responsibilities at the post held ??

Hi, The rule says that an ECO can issue a visa for a maximum of 2 years at the time of first application post HSMP approval. It is nowhere stated that an ECO cannot issue a 1 year visa. Have read on this forum itself that some people in the past got a 1 year visa only. Not sure if things have change...

Hi John440, Yes, you have 6 months to apply for an EC. So if you don't plan to leave for UK immediately, I would suggest that you apply for EC near the time of travel. This way, you will get more time to settle down in UK and become economicaaly active, before it's time for an extension. This partic...

Hi, The list in the caseworker manual are not exhaustive, so don't worry about your designation not being on that list. What is important is the role (& responsibilities) mentioned in your reference letters. That is what the caseworkers look at rather than the designation(s). As long as casework...

Hi, NARIC usually sends the letter of comparability through "normal" mail (I received it my letter that way .. an airmail post). The delivery thus varies from country to country. I received my letter within 8 days in India. I am also aware that some people in India received it in 2 weeks o...

Hi Dina,

If you are referring to Section3, point 11 on the payment page (Payer name) that the boxes 6,7 & 8 are disabled, it is a known problem.

Saw in other posts that people have complained (at least a few) to HO, but no updated forms have been made available on the website.

Submit the following:- 1. Payslips 2. Term deposits (FDs etc.) 3. IT return for last 3 years. 4. Bank statements (last 6 months). Bank statements give a clear indication of cash flow and helps EC in evaluating your case, therefore BHC insists on bank statements covering the last 4-6 months. I am not...
