Hi, I assume that your query is regarding HSMP. If so, I do not think a gap in employment is an issue as long as you can show evidence to prove work experience at graduate level covering the entire period that you want to claim points for. I suggest you wait till you can show "actual" expe...

Hi,

You can switch to HSMP visa from WP visa from within the UK itself. No need to go back to India to get an HSMP visa. Once you have the HSMP approval, use FLR(IED) to apply.

Hi,

I am afraid there's no other option for you but to back to your home country to apply for EC based on your HSMP approval.

Hi, Not sure if I understand your message correctly, but - HSMP application is only for HO to approve your eligibility under the HSMP scheme. Once you have approval, you will need to either apply for extension of stay (if you are already in UK) or for Entry Clearance (if you reside outside UK). It i...

Hi,

You need VAF1 form, and not VAF2. VAF2 is only for ILR (settlement). In the VAF1 form under Section 1, mention HSMP against "Others".

Sorry, but I don't know the answers to the other queries.

Check the BHC India website at http://www.ukinindia.com for forms and guidance.

RE: status change - HSMP

1. If your spouse applies for HSMP and gets an approval. Since your spouse is in UK as a dependent, she will have to go back to India to apply for EC on the basis of HSMP. Once she returns to UK on her HSMP visa issued in India, you will then be able to apply for extension of stay in UK as her depen...

You need to provide evidence of earnings for the last 12 months from the date the HSMP application is received by HO. If you have been out of work during these last 12 months, the income will be taken as NIL for those months. You being out of a job is a personal issue. Only if you have been studying...

Hi, Unless it can be proved that the relationship has subsisted for the last 2 years (with 3 different forms of evidences to cover the 2 yr. period), points will not be awarded. In my humble opinion, I don't think a Team Leader role qualifies for a "senior / specialist" level work experien...

Hi,

You can get a letter of comparability from NARIC (http://www.naric.org.uk) to know for sure if your MSc is equivalent to a British Masters !! It will cost you aboyt 30-40 pounds.

Part-time qualifications are not considered in HSMP.

Hi,

Going by the rule that 2 forms of evidences must be submitted, you should be okay if you submit the salary slips and bank account statements.

You could explain the situation in the covering letter, to make it easier for the caseworker to understand.

Though I am not an expert here, but my personal suggestion would be to re-apply for HSMP afresh.

I say so because the reasons for not entering UK (while you had the HSMP approval) were personal.

Rajeev, First, you will need to make sure if your PG qualification is equivalent to a British masters. You can get this done through NARIC ( http://www.naric.org.uk ) and it will cost you about 30-40 GBP. Once, it is established that your PG qualification is equivalent to a British masters degree, y...

Pabhi,

If you are going to apply for EC from India, it takes about 5-10 working days to get back your passport - provided you sumbit all the relevant supporting documentation and make it a straight-forward case for ECO.

NARIC

Check this site: http://www.naric.org.uk

NARIC issues a letter a comparability to state whether qualifications earned overseas match similar ones from UK educational institutions (British degrees / qualifications).
