Re:

Hello, I tore up the BRP card in four pieces and surrendered to the UK Border as is the requirement.
Can I still travel without the BRP? I have both the Indian passport and British passport and I am travelling within the 90 days grace period .

Thanks,
Sandeep

OCI for minor

Hi, my wife and I will get ILR in July '16 and will register our one month old daughter, who was born in UK, as British citizen and then apply for her British passport. I then intend to apply the OCI card for her but I dont know on what basis it has been mentioned in various posts that minor whose p...

Re: Switch from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 General

Thanks naveediiqbal. So, is it that they need to first terminate the existing employee, create a new position (that is filled with an existing tier 1 employee), and do a resident market test? Only if that resident market test is not successful, can they sponsor the tier 2? Cheers. They can always a...

Re: Switch from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 General

@Sandeep, does you company already have a valid Certificate of sponsorship (Cos)? If not looks like they may need to follow the steps you mentioned regardless whether you are working there or not to demonstrate that there is scarcity of skill and they require CoS to fill the gap. Please bear in min...

@Abdel Rehman - sad, really sad Abdel. If you have been working for long enough, your company should not mind sponsoring your visa. Good luck!

Re: Tier 1 General Extension - Missed April Deadline

@caheda Trust me I am really sad for your case, and to be brutally honest within existing rules you got no option other than switching to other PBS based visa like tier-2(general) or tier-1(entrepreneur). Right now I highly suggest to talk to solicitors as well as tier-2 sponsersers, and so far you...

Switch from Tier 1 General to Tier 2 General

Friends please please, I need you help to understand the process of switching from Tier 1 Gn to Tier 2 Gn. I am one of those unfortunate folks (and we are really just a few I am sure) who have missed the April 6 2015 deadline to apply for the Tier 1 extension (my visa was valid until Nov 2015 so I n...

Re: Tier 1 General Extension - Missed April Deadline

Hello, mine is the same case..extension due in Nov '15, I thought to check in May how are the appoinment schedules looking like and then got the biggest shock of my life. Why the hell I would check these sites one or two years before when they are actually needed, I m highly disappointed. Is there a...
