Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hello all, I applied for the UK naturalisation on 23/06/2021. After terrible waiting, I received an email from my local council at 1535 hrs (19/11/2021) inviting me to book a private ceremony as the group ceremonies weren't available due to covid-19 restriction. I will have to wait till Monday 22/1...

Re: Naturalisation application is delayed for 2+ years

There's so many similar cases on this forum. The advice that people in the similar situation get is to get your MP involved and/or PAP letter.

Re: Lost Life In The UK result email

Did you enter the certificate number in the .GOV account? if so, you can login there and find your number in your account. I did enter the number during my ILR applications but I am not sure what is .GOV account? where can I access it? I was hopping maybe there is a link to view all the previous ap...

Re: Naturalization application More than six month but no reply from HO

The only reply that you'd get from the HO is to wait!

Options you have:

1- Contact your local MP.

2- Send a PAP to Home Office.

Re: Proof of living in the UK

I think you took what I said Literally!! I don't mean, send them whatever you like and your immigration case will become "stronger" all of a sudden. 1s, it was a figure of speech. 2nd, in my 18 years of experience of dealing with the HO, the more doc you provide to them, the better it is. ...

Re: Proof of living in the UK

The more docs you provide the stronger your case would be imho.

Provide council tax for the past 5 years as they seem to accept that without any issue.

Re: Previous Applications

Correct. write what you know and leave whatever you don't. There's a textfield at the end of the form which allows you to write some extra stuff if you want. use that to explain whatever you said here. At the end of the day, the caseworkers are humans too... they read and understand. and they have a...

They don't send letters anymore... rarely they send emails now.

They send emails. did she get an email confirming this? if so, take that email with you on an iPad or your phone and show them that.
I meant to say rarely they send 'letters' now...

Re: Naturalisation application is delayed for 2+ years

Unless there's another reason such as past criminal history, you also have the option of PAP in which case the HO will have 20 days to respond properly. Secretary of State seems to think they are some sort of secretive elite force that no one should question and no one should know what they are doin...

Re: Cover letter or other supporting documents

each Covering letter is unique to its case!

You have to write your covering letter specific to what you are trying to 'cover'.

Apart from the header and the footer of the letter, each covering letter is almost unique.

To be honest, even after the 6 months is up, they might just tell you the usual gibberish so don't keep your hopes up. But who knows, maybe in the next few weeks you'd get a response from them. We're all in the same boat. Try to do something else to avoid thinking about it until you hear back from t...

4- What is the Naturalisation fee (£1,330+) for? @Aerotony This is not an internal secret.
