Re: €300 Registration fee for temporary Stamp 4; Family member of EU citizen.

I went to Dublin office in nov to request the extension of my wife’s visa as it was expiring in Dec while Permanent Residence application was under process. I didn’t have any letter from DoJ and they did not charge any fees. My wife has since got her permanent residency approved and we have appoint...

Re: €300 Registration fee for temporary Stamp 4; Family member of EU citizen.

Another annoying contraction in the wording of both INIS and Citizens Advice is that as an EU/UK citizen exercising their rights under Free Movement Laws, I don't need a "Residence Permit". There's no such thing right.

Re: €300 Registration fee for temporary Stamp 4; Family member of EU citizen.

"There is a fee of €300 for the certificate of registration, but you do not have to pay a fee if you are: A Programme refugee A Convention refugee A person who has been reunified with such a refugee under Section 18 of the Refugee Act 1996 Under the age of 18 at the time of registration The spo...

Re: €300 Registration fee for temporary Stamp 4; Family member of EU citizen.

Bump.

Can anyone confirm this? Does a Non-EU spouse of an EU/UK citizen exercising their rights in the ROI need to pay that 300 euro registration fee to get their Stamp 4 EU FAM?

I'd like to be armed with laws and facts if the idiots at Burgh Quays incorrectly demand a payment.

Re: RTB registration + Residence Card

Ah didn't see this. Thanks for replying, especially about specific RTB information. In regards to the EU residence/stamp 4, the application was made in late August and got the letter mid October. I've heard the booking system has all been booked up by people looking to sell the appointments... Crazy...

RTB registration + Residence Card

Hello. My non-EU wife is in the middle of applying for an EU Residence Card. We've supplied all documentation of evidence but received a letter asking for "RTB in respect to the applicant (non-EU wife)". We'd sent in the RTB letter we did have but it is only in my name. My wife didn't have...

Re: UK-EU dual nationality (by birth) EEA route eligibility

Thanks for the replies. I'm familar with the SS route and already knew I couldn't rely on my German nationality for that specifically. I'm also prudent to the anecdotal evidence of people being rejected with SS (especially from Ireland) because of circumvention of UK routes. But I've heard, so long ...

Are you sure your spouse can switch from a visitor visa to a spouse? I know you can from a select few student visas, mainly only tier 4.

I think Sadmanonatrain's hijacking of this thread should be spun off to a separate thread.

UK-EU dual nationality (by birth) EEA route eligibility

Thank you to both Simon and Richard for those posts in the other thread. I'll go into a bit more detail to see if you have any extra opinions. Can I as a dual UK/EU national at birth, bring my wife (non-EU) to the UK? I've only lived said countries (EU-wise). Were treaty rights exercised by you at a...

Re: Am I salaried or non-salaried? (payslip included)

In addition, should applying from outside the UK be effectively over; we'd like to be together in the UK if I'm forced to go to there and find a job over the income limit. Could my spouse effectively tag along on a tier 4 student visa and switch onto the spouse after 6 months? Are there any obvious ...

Re: Surinder Singh still open?

Also, would us visiting the UK to see my parents before jetting off to Ireland (to exercise freedom of movement rights) be detrimental when a applying for the eea permit 6-12 months later? Because you have to supply travel history and previous visa applications to and from the UK right? Technically ...

Am I salaried or non-salaried? (payslip included)

Hi, I hope someone can lend their time to my questions. I'm currently living and working in Japan. I am salaried(?) and contracted to earn £1586 (exchange rate as of today) every month. I have 4 months of payslips stating this. The thing is, because the company I work for is probably the worst in th...

Re: Surinder Singh still open?

Could someone please answer a couple of questions I have in regards to this. Firstly the BBC's take on Mrs May's speech in Florence: What's the significance? This is important. It means that during a transition period - the prime minister suggested two years as a possibility - all the rules will rem...

Re: Dual nationaility sponser and EEA route

You can't switch from visit visa plus it's highly unlikely one would be granted anyway - with a spouse in the UK the UKVI assumes the intention will be to plead human rights etc, and apply to remain. Which to be fair is not without justification - it's why the no-switching rule was imposed in the f...

Thanks for those replies. Yeah the UK spouse visa will likely be first bet, failing that, might as well try Ireland. Dual nationaility sponser and EEA route

Hi. Keeping it short for the long timers on here. I'm British wanting to live with my non-EU wife in the UK. I've appreciated the discussion. It's been slightly calming, informative and interesting. Is there an easy way or space to follow that supreme courts ruling on the UK's own immigration in regards to spouses? In regards to a commenter stating a do-able method with the current 18.6 requirements. I get...
