Very very true. It's never been from the online application date, that would make no sense whatsoever.

It's not some made up theory. It's always been from the biometric date, it's mentioned explicitly in a variety of correspondence.

Amz786, the rule is that ESOL will be accepted until 5th November 2015 as long as it was taken before 5th April 2015.

Irfan you can use that test, as long as you apply before 5th November. Your TB test has to be valid at the time of applying so you'll be fine.

Irfan, that's the most ridiculous refusal I've seen in a while. Hope it doesn't come to an appeal or reapplying. Was that the only reason in the letter?

From what I've seen, they email some applicants to say they've received the documents but others they don't. Unfair really but maybe you could phone UKVI to check if they do have it?

Rizwan, I was thinking of escalating it on my 10th week (24th August) because a lot of people have got their visas within 10 weeks so that seems like a good time for us to start chasing it up?

My husband applied in June and we haven't requested any updates or escalations. It's too early yet, there'd be no point. Just got to sit tight and wait.

I was under the impression that you could only escalate your case if it's been more than 12 weeks since the biometrics appointment? Do they normally escalate that early - the 8th week?
