Re: Marrying EEA national

Have a read through this check list from Leeds.gov and see if you're able to provide an alternative. They ask for one box from each section to be ticked. It should be a standard requirement. http://www.leeds.gov.uk/docs/Giving%20Notice%20Checklist.pdf I am on an appeal process at the moment and as ...

Re: Marrying EEA national

The banns are read in the church where you will marry, three Sundays consecutively. Anyone in the congregation has the right to object to the marriage if there is just cause. Regardless of where the wedding will take place you will need to give notification of the marriage in a Home Office designat...

Re: Marrying EEA national

No it doesn't. If you are getting married in any religious building you will still have to give notice of marriage to the Registry office in the district where you live. This must be at a designated Registry Office. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/designated-register-offices-in-england-a...

I thought getting married in a church meant that you don't have to marry at a registry office? I am a bit confused here.

Looking for advice regarding Long Residence

Hello, I have been in the UK for 6 years now (legally as a student). I have applied for a student VISA last June (2014) and have been refused. I have then appealed against their decision and is waiting for the court hearing. Now the thing is, I am gay and I really don't want to go back to my country...

Re: Passport with UKBA, GP question (emergency!!)

Prior to the introduction of the new surcharge, those with valid visas (apart from visitors) were entitled to use NHS services. This means that anyone one holding a current visa, issued after [did you mean before?] the NHS Surcharge was introduced, can continue to have access to free NHS treatment....

Re: Passport with UKBA, GP question (emergency!!)

I thought the VISA application fee included the NHS fee in it? Because if I remember. I had to pay around £500 (instead of £300) this time I applied for VISA. Anyway, what is my best option at the moment? Insurance and stuffs sounds expensive and time taking. Doesn't this country have conscience for...

Re: Passport with UKBA, GP question (emergency!!)

Do you have an HO acknowledgement letter? That may suffice. A&E would typically be free, but given the pressures on A&E, they are pushing routine matters back to GPs. Yes I do have the letter from HO. Would that be enough? I really need some medical attention because I am losing blooding al...

NHS has never has been free for those that don't' have valid UK visa (legal status) but many people still managed to get free NHS as the UK never checked before. Now the NHS must check instead of ...

Re: Marrying EEA national

Forget the old golden days when such stories worked out but now they almost not believe on such stories because they can easily say that why you now start feeling that you are gay after reaching into appeal and why you didn't update with them when you had visa. Moreover, now even in ukba they emplo...

Re: Marrying EEA national

In the present immigration trend 3/4 years process can be possible, non EU national can survive during such period because they mostly become warriors but it mainly depends on EU national support in continuous pattern. You can marry from back home with EU national. Or if you have paper based relati...

Re: Marrying EEA national

How can you get duplicate passport because your passport has not been stolen/lost but ukba retain it. If you have your English format of national I'd card then it may help for marriage notice but on the day or before wedding the ukba team may become your guests. In your circumstances proving a genu...
