Yeh! The VFS website is visa applicacation centre and from there, they forward the documents to the embassy itself. After that, the embassy sends everything back to the VFS.... Any application takes 5 - 10 working days for them to process meaning you might wanna allow around 15 days so that they can...

HI.. search for topic " Pretoria here I come" by me. Make sure you check the british embassy website for timescale of applications.. Mine took about 2 weeks. Make sure you include the divorce cert as proof of collapse of previous marriage. Good luck....

:D Update.... Got a new neighbour.....He works for HO... Now, he told me not to worry its just a standard procedure cause people lie....Its on their database...been recorded so no problems...All they do is to check whether their database says you are OK.... So once its says OK.....will be OK for goo...

You don't have to... Use the name thats on your passport...Marriage Cert says everything. Same situation with me and my wife....too expensive to change names in passport so went without changing her name and no problems.. As long as its her passport it doesn't matter whether its old or new name.... :D

Yeh, I got the visa Tuesday... No interview ..It just shows the more you provide the less hassle.. I searched this board from pg1 to last pg, it took me quite a few months but at the end it paid off.
