I think allowances and bonuses are factored into the calculation. Not 100% on houses though.

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

I can only assume a glut of previous applicants dropped out in August after seeing the horrendous scores for June/July.

Would *love* to see what the cut-off was - if indeed there was one!

Also, a hearty "lmao" to the geniuses predicting 45/50/70 points this month. Your grasp of statistical analysis will see you well in hell.

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

Thanks guys, Good news I guess! Well maybe I should delete that post so they don't get any ideas. What good news??? Did you get update from your employer?? I think he was referring to his post about the Home Office artificially keeping the limit at 45 points, and how that's impossible. Nothing on t...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

Hi All, 40 points too and fingers crossed. Just want to add to the last minute discussion, Does anyone think that they may continue to keep the cut off point higher as people earning a salary of >32K (>45points) are paying a much higher rate of tax (40% tax for those earning over £31,786)? It would...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

Hi Guys, I have just received my Tier 2 today and I am very thrilled. I came to this forum after the Rcos situation in June and I know how anxious it was. I started paying attention to the immigration news/updates since. I hope the historical data I posted here was somewhat useful. I wish those wai...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

Edit: Sorry, I'm just on edge right now. I'm incredibly worried about this and astounded by how unfair it is. I was the only person to apply for my job - even with the job posted on JobsCentre Plus and a recruiter searching for candidates, I was the only person to put up my hand. So the excuse I'm ...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for August 2015

I also take serious umbrage with "various immigration lawyers" since that's the only piece I've seen suggest 50 points.

The truth is, we simply won't know until next Tuesday. :)

http://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=1fe7b38c-8727-457d-be05-5f49ce246a84 According to various immigration lawyers and experts. Its likely that for August minimum requirement will be 46k again. Bad prediction for those with less then 50 points There's an awful lot of posturing and "It...

Re: Restricted COS decisions for July 2015

Utterly cruel. A right-wing government meddling with the labour market, despite every business body/academic institute/trade association telling them it's a stupid idea. Ridiculous. Totally ridiculous. Edit: To those on the rejected list - stay strong. Be with your loved ones (give someone special a...
