The Indian Doctors' Demonstration

It will be useful to see if the demonstration worked (even partially). If it didn't work at all, what are the doctors planning to do next. What can be learnt from their success or failure. I guess demonstration by itself won't work, because the media will quickly forget about it and the HO can just ...

BBC NEWs on Indian Demonstration

BBC NEWs on Indian Demonstration Good morning everyone, Just heard on the BBC Radio 4 News (8am) a report titled “A demonstration is being staged for the change of rules that could force hundreds of Indian Doctors to leave the country”. I think the change of that rule is retrospective too. Our campa...

RIA (Regulatory Impact Assessment) Issue

These are encouraging signs. These letters, at least proved that the HO's change of rule (especially its retrospective nature) is controversial! Another way to see the problem is to look at the process through which the change of the rule has been brought out. Then there is the RIAs issue. The HO di...

HO play balls

They can play balls.
They can play words.
However, after such a long time for considering, they still haven't produce an argument that can stand up to scrutiny!
We have a winning chance!

An automatic system

I totally agree! We need 2 things: an automatic tool and a monitoring system. (1) on the automatic tool. The BTCD developed a system which generates and sends email automatically to your MPs. You only need to input your postcode, name and etc details, it finds your MP and send the email for you. The...

i just noticed a funny thing. in the HC 974, the HO also changed the SEGS rules, making more students can get the benefit from the scheme. but they don't make those changes applied retrospectively. that means students commencing their studies before 01/05/2006 can't get the benefit from the changes...

Dear all, I have a problem. It is about one of the weaknesses that I perceived of our campaign. Because of the difference in the types of visa different people hold (HSMP/WP), in nationality, and in the preferred approach (lobbying/public attention/court action), We "seem" to be divided in...

Point taken

Agree.
Finding a lawyer who see eye to eye with us is vital. I don't know if this Sunday's meeting would make things clearer or not. Don't hold your breath, but we'll try. See how it goes, and rise to the occasion.

Re: Got 6 people now and only 34 more are needed!
