What is considered as the application date for an application made online within the UK?

What is considered as the application date for an application made online within the UK? Is it when you submit the filled form and pay or until the appointment to provide evidence (documents) and biometrics? I ask because right before submitting the filled form the note below appeared twice just bef...

Is it still possible to apply for naturalisation by post?

I downloaded the AN Form about six months ago to prepare for my application which I intend to do next week. I am looking now for up-to-date version, as the one I have is from Sep 18, but can't find anything. Does this mean it is now only possible to apply online? I was also wondering how similar is ...

When does the leave to remain end on the 5-year family route?

Hi, If my BRP expiry date is a month after I have completed the 5 years with FLR(M), is it okay to apply (by post) less than a week before the expiry date of the BRP? Or does the application need to be made before the full 5-year period has been completed (so in my case a month earlier)? Thank you.

Re: Best way to explain 5 month absence (dying parent) and few more questions

Regarding how to state the absence I will do as you suggest, just wondering how to answer question 2.13 Have you lived with your partner permanently in the UK since being granted temporary leave as a partner? Does the 5 month count as not living permanently with my hu...

Best way to explain 5 month absence (dying parent) and few more questions

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions I have regarding my SET(M) application? - Since my last FLR I have a long absence (5 months) because my mother was dying of cancer. What is the best way to explain this absence? In a covering letter? In the list of absences? And do I ne...

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Is it possible to contact UKVI to request an update on the postal application? I see that people applying to enter as spouses post about emailing UKVI and getting a (vague) update but I'm unsure if those of us applying for FLR can get a similar update too. Problem is there is no easy access to the l...
