Re: EU Tuition Fees on Stamp 4 EUFAM

Hi there, Basically you have to have been ordinarily resident (not counting student visas...) in the EU for a minimum of three years prior to your application to qualify for EU fees and this is the same for EU citizens as well. For example, an EU citizen who's lived outside the EU for a couple of ye...

Or you could just apply for a permanent residence card towards the end of your existing residence card if you qualify for it. That's usually the next step to take from what I've read thus far.

Re: please help Applying for Extended EEA Family permit

Hi there, Yes it's the same route. Depending on where your mother in law is from, you apply first for an EEA Family permit valid for six months followed by an EEA residence card valid for five years if she plans on staying beyond the initial six months. I think for your mother in law, you may need t...

Re: Valid Visa on Expired Passport

You may want to contact the consulate that issued the schengen visa to verify. But in general my understanding is that you would be allowed to travel with a new passport, carrying the old one which contains the visa vignette along with it. That's certainly allowed when entering the UK on a UK visa,...

Re: Valid Visa on Expired Passport

In my experience, when I applied for a new passport, my embassy cancelled the old passport without prejudice because it was still valid and had valid visas in it. I was allowed to travel with both passports old (to show valid visas) and new. I don't think having more than one current passport is all...

Wow! I would have thought you going as far as paying 80% of fees and accommodation is at least a strong enough evidence that you're possibly a genuine student. You have misunderstood what being a genuine student means. Having paid some or all of your tuition fees upfront (or having not paid anythin...

Hello Adnan01, I wanted to ask whether your UK Residence card was officially cancelled when you applied for your Stamp 4 EU Fam? Does this mean you currently hold two Article 10 Residence cards under EU law for both Ireland and the UK? Sorry I'm just amazed at this and don't think it's possible. Kin...

Re: Applying for PR as non EEA extended family member

Hey Sam98, Thanks a lot for the tips. I'm trying to get as much insight as I can with this process. Were you a student under the UK's immigration rules? The Tier 4 visa that is? I've read before that being on a Tier 4 student visa previously may question your reasons for switching into a Residence C...
